The property had just about everything we needed, apart from a teapot! It was very clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was very well-equipped. The decor was nice and fresh, and the carpets were lovely. Beds were very comfortable. The location was very good - about a 10 minute walk to the front. The parking was a bonus.

When we arrived we were unable to gain access as the key code for the gate didn't work. The staircase seemed very steep and a bit narrow, and we felt we needed to hold onto the banister when coming down the stairs. It wouldn't be suitable for anybody with mobility problems. Hooks on the back of the bedroom doors would be useful. We couldn't get the DVD player to work. The bathroom mirror was too low, so it would be good to have another one which was positioned a bit higher. Recycling instructions would have been useful.

- Beautiful, modern, spotlessly clean, well equipped chalet. - 10 minutes walk to the beach and lovely friendly California Tavern. - Short driving distance to Great Yarmouth and also to many sightseeing attractions nearby.

- You have to pay for the electric via an electric meter which takes £1 coins. This was not mentioned in the ad. It cost us £35 for 4 nights for 2 people and were very economic with it. - There is NO FREE WIFI even though free WIFI is heavily advertised. Other customer reviews have noted this too. THE WIFI DOES NOT WORK. - The Owner doesn't reply to emails after booking. - The oven/grill was incredibly complex to operate and there were no operating instructions.

cooked breakfast was very, very good and service at breakfast was too. Our room was lovely and not too noisy for a pub room.
Negative section of review
Food in the pub was very expensive, £25 for fish and chips is ridiculous.

The staff were very friendly, I was allowed to have my room early and the bar area and food were very good value.
Negative section of review
The heater in the room did not work, there is no usb for charging your phone, general decor is a bit tired.

Fantastic location and traditional fixtures and fittings

Restaurant staff were a little slow at all aspects from ordering to delivery of food albeit they were quite pleasant.

Had dinner in the pub, useful after a long days walk.
Negative section of review
Says it is walker friendly, but required to remove boots with no covered area to leave them, so I felt that was a bit contradictory. It had been a wet days walk. Vegetarian breakfast wasn't great, but my son enjoyed the full english.
Positive section of review
Convenient for the ferry, and the host was friendly.
Negative section of review
The room was very basic and not pleasant to be in except to sleep. The window faces onto a yard and the room was very small and dingy. I sat in my car until I was ready to sleep as at least I could take in the view of the harbour.

Nothing more just the parking
Positive section of review
Lovely decor and comfy beds, very clean too

Could do with replacing the windows as could hear people walking and talking outside the bedroom windows through the night. Front door needs replaced as it's on a bad condition and very draughty didn't feel the most secure.
