The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Lovely traditional hotel, we had an excellent junior suite overlooking internal atrium, super breakfast. On site restaurants are independent but good, the Sir Norman has limited menu but good food. Close enough to other good eateries though. Underground car parking arrangements are first come first served really so a little problematic and website needs updating for what really is available. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Didn’t try the pool and gym, maybe next time! Lots of lifts so very accessible.

The only comment is, by its nature then atrium is quite echoey, exaggerating all conversations and noises. Also be aware of running water sounds cause you problems!

Directions to the property, details regarding the parking and access to the apartment which were received just prior to our visit ensured there were no problems on arrival and we could quickly settle in to the apartment after a long journey. Our stay was only one night but apartment was well equipped for longer stays.

Comfortable room and hotel is in a good location in the town. Car parking was available right outside for £15 for 24hrs.

General decor is a little tired.

Our room although quite small had everything we needed and was ok for a 2 night stay

Breakfast was pretty average using low quality products. Poached eggs must have been from caged birds as the yolk , the part i want, was miniscule and not a deep yellow and tasteless. The sausages and bacon you need to have a word with your supplier. Sorry but you asked

The staff The room The view The facilities The pool The location

Only one slight problem that the kick boards in the kitchen fell on to my foot as they weren’t attached properly. The breakfast offer could have a savoury option The hot tub wasn’t working
Positive section of review
The menu choice and evening meal were superb (michelin star).
Negative section of review
The breakfast was not!! We were told the sausages are from a local butcher and not processed as we had suspected. We were also told that others had reported their dissatisfaction. The floorboards were beyond squeaky and especially the bathroom floor which felt like it was going to break at any moment.

Large number of addicts both inside and outside of the hotel, cant see through window because of bird poo and also paying for a window just for it to face onto a side lane full of addicts, dirty bath and stained bed sheets, switch on headboard in middle, bed solid as a rock, check in staff overrun by people because of check in time starting at 4, bad signs making finding things a trip through a maze
