A very friendly welcome. It felt as if we were staying as a guest in someone's home rather than in a B&B. We were warned not to worry if we heard noises in the night as it was likely to be the horse sleeping in the stable adjoining our room! Good, freshly cooked breakfast. Abbotsbury is a beautiful village, and East Farm House is well located in it - across the road from the excellent Swan Inn. The Swannery is definitely worth a visit.

Acknowledging this is someone's long-standing family home, the rooms were all rather cluttered, with pictures, knick-knacks, books and memorabilia. This will be charming to some (as it was to us) but could be a bit off-putting for others.

Very clean rooms with excellent bedding and towels. The decor was very nice with a rustic charm. The bathroom was modern ,clean and well laid out for such a small space. The shower was fabulous. Staff were all really lovely, friendly professional and very helpful. The food was exceptional in the attached restaurant..couldnt fault it.

The sofabed wasnt brilliant and on one side of the main bed..the mattress had dipped considerably. It was two single beds in format of a king and the mattress on one side definitely needs replacing! Could do with a light somewhere near the sofabed. There are no drawers anywhere so it lacks storage for 2 people. We had to be creative! There could be some drawer space where the bedside tables are. The rooms are small and the bathroom also very cosy so this limits the amount of space you have for better storage.

Close to the town centre and very handy for the ferry terminal. My attic room was compact but very clean with tea making facilities, a tv and ensuite with good electric shower, comfortable bed. Stairs are quite narrow so may not suit people with mobility issues. Overnight Parking on the street nearby.

Situated on the road to the castle so a busy road with associated noise and a fast road, care to be taken.

Everything was great apart from the service in the bar. To buy a drink from reception, a drink from the bar or to ask for coffee sachets for the room - you had to queue at the bar. The bar was understaffed and we waited for 30 minutes.

Dirty room, ripped nets, broken window, no water pressure, massive gaps under doors, exposed nails in bathroom floor, chasm in the middle of the mattress, generally felt unclean, uncared for, didnt even bother with breakfast as I can't imagine the kitchen being much cleaner
