The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.
3
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Overall it's not too bad. I read a lot of reviews before I booked the room, the reviews were kind of not good, however the hotel was not that bad. Maybe I had stayed at a worse hotel than this one in London before, so this hotel to me was okay. The room was small just like other hotels in London. The bathroom was clean, although it's not super clean, there was no very visible dirty spot. I think it's quite good considering that I paid around £80 a night for a zone 1/2 hotel in London. If you only need a room to sleep in London, I think this hotel is fine, you're gonna spend your day out in the city anyway.

There are things you need to be aware of before booking this hotel. - There is no lift in the building, so if you have super heavy luggage ask for a ground floor room because the stairs is very small and narrow. - The condition of the hotel is not that good. For example, the wall is quite scuffed and dirty, there is a hole in the wall. - The basement room which I stayed was quite not good. There are another door at the other side of the room, I suppose it is a door to outside of the building which should not have anyone at the other side of it, however in the morning I heard a sound of a man talking and a sound of key trying to unlock the door, which was scary. So I would suggest ask for a room on the ground floor or first floor. - The bed sheet was a bit dusty but still sleep-able. However, two of my pillow cases were super extremely dusty that I couldn't even put my head on them. - The wifi was poorly connection. It's was good on the first night, however it didn't work at all on the second night. This could be a big problem for you if you stay in the basement because the mobile data signal was also poorly. - This hotel has no staff at the reception, there might be someone sitting at the reception but not all day, so if you would like to request anything make sure to do that when booking the room so they can provide it for you beforehand because the number they give you might not always work.

Hotel was clean, staff were friendly, efficient and accommodating. Breakfast was good. Nice selection of bread rolls, DIY toast, nice English Breakfast, OK selection of cereals. Mini blueberry muffins were delicious. Fruit options included bananas, which not every hotel has. Shower in room is lovely! Rainshower and regular shower head. Mirror in the shower was unexpected. I like that there is an under sink light in bathroom. Perfect for late night trips to the loo without waking the whole family. Nice big pillows on the beds in plentiful supply.

The name suggests King's Cross. It is actually King's Cross Road. About a 20 min walk from King's Cross Station (with kids and suitcases). Just to note, there are a lot of steps to deal with in public areas, up to reception, from lifts to the breakfast and bar area etc. Bed is very squeaky and rolls, sides of mattress just fall away when you sit on them. Room was roasting. Window does not open and the temperature control did little to fix it. Family room was two double beds. I prefer when two singles or a bunk are made available for the kids.

It was a good location & free parking was a bonus in the city location It was great to have a washing machine while travelling for an extended time & a kitchen too. The host was extremely helpful & answered my questions very promptly.

The exterior of the building & the entrance & lift area is quite shabby & not very inviting but once inside the apartment was spotless. I suggest the host provides an instruction manual for all the switches in the kitchen & information about the heating.

A newly renovated feel to the building but it is over 8 years old which means it has been well maintained since. The whole place is immaculate and our room was larger than average. £161 a night without breakfast is a bit steep.

Shower floor is slippery and there are no grab handles. It is inaccessible to people with severe mobility problems because of the stairs and there isn’t a lift.

If you like to complain or point out faults. Don't waste your time visiting, you will not find any. A truly excellent hotel.

Nothing to dislike.

Location was good, near central Huddersfield. Parking is abundant. Good private studio. Warm and comfortable.

Smells of damp, there is a dehumidifier to combat this. Could do with a good clean and refresh of appliances and bed linen. No fan oven. Microwave overheats and turns off after 5 minutes. No light directly in shower.

The room was bright and close to the centre as we wanted.

Unfortunately we had a fair few issues which resulted in us leaving a day early and going elsewhere. I’m not usually one to leave reviews, in fact it’s highly unusual as we are generally an easy going couple to please. But we felt on this occasion, this was some needed honest feedback for the owners. We had multiple issues with our room, starting off with the fact it’s right by a main road, which was incredibly loud so we couldn’t sleep very well, which we weren’t told about, and then saw a spider and large cobweb next to the mirror. Then as we went on we found these issues as well: - the plug sockets on left side of bed didn’t work after several attempts/changing phone cables etc. - Shower very temperamental with temperatures (either boiling or freezing and randomly changing when you think you’ve got it right) and shower head didn’t clip on right - Broken toilet seat/not attached properly - Throw pillows had human stains on them (photo attached) - Tv/Netflix kept dropping out for no reason, bad signal I assume Feel a bit mislead/misinformed so we decided to leave a night early and stay elsewhere to guarantee a decent sleep as we couldn’t risk all the noise when we need to do a long drive tomorrow. The basics were a bit below par and should probably be addressed. If we were only staying the one night we would’ve managed, but we couldn’t have lasted longer than that.

Man on reception very pleasant, but struggled with English - woman on reception scolded him like a child on a no. of occasions. Pillows were too firm, room was not clean - top of wardrobe (disable) very dusty, door lock inside of door very very very dusty (looked white) skirting boards dirty + crumbling behind bedside tables. Breakfast should have been included in the price of the room (quality of room poor so very overpriced) Breakfast poor, egg + mushroom serving trays empty, bacon cold. We had to ask for cutlery No hot water available for tea. Hard to find a member of staff to help. When checking out had to call for attention as boy on reception sitting in back room.
