When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Location perfect beach over the road, town 5 min walk. Car park had availability reasonably price and undercover connection to hotel. Size of room, comfy with additional sofa and chairs. Mini fridge good although did seem hot in the cupboard it was in- nicely stocked with soft drinks. Tea, coffee, biscuits (although on arrival only one pack) and coffee machine. Selection of useful bits shower cap, shaving set, nail file tooth kit. Bathroom good size with extra shower. Towels. Balcony good size and equipped with chairs and table. Window unable to clean as weather/ time had taken it's toll on it. The staff were all friendly, helpful and polite and can not be faulted. Everyone of them excellent.

Booking.com advertising Executive room. Holiday Inn called it Premier room -Confusing. Bin was part full of rubbish on arrival. No robes or slippers. One pack of biscuits. No newspapers was told should order on line Key card not worked (then read small sign don't put key card with credit cards)- better if been told in person. All problems sorted by exceptional staff promptly. Went for breakfast was told our room number had already been crossed off again staff sorted. Lots of niggly problems not what you expect paying for an executive room. Check in time is 4pm unless you want to pay a early fee. Most hotels check in is 3pm . Car park although very handy and accessible from hotel via door it was gloomy(lights did come on as approached areas ( done to save energy and nets I presume to keep birds out which is good but first glance bit creepy) although wouldn't have liked to go to it alone. Steep to exit from and scraped bottom of car. Restaurant catered for all but for someone who needs simple menu it was hard to choose. GF limited.

The cottage is on a working Croft, with excellent views. It feels remote, but is only 20 mins from the centre of Portree. The cottage is very well furnished & equipped, including lots of extras - binoculars, maps, flowers, locally produced goods etc. It was clean & very comfortable. The hosts, Lisa & Ewan, are both friendly & helpful.

As we are an elderly couple (with not big appetites) we found the meals too big for us.
