This was an amazing little get away cottage in a fantastic location easy to get too. We would have loved to have been able to explore it more. We walked in and straightaway it had a homely feel. It was very clean and well laid out. The kitchen was well stocked and had basically everything you could need.The beds were so comfy, and we all had an amazing sleep. We were very sad to leave on the Sunday morning and wish we could have stayed there longer. Would definitely go back again.

As previously made aware of the patio was unfortunately out of bounds for that weekend due to it being redone and wasn't quite finished. However, we are looking forward to going back and seeing it once it's all complete.

Great location, lots of parking, and a friendly welcome. We couldn't use the bar as there was a private function on, and there was no breakfast so can't comment on that side of things, but there is a Co-op nearby so you can buy breakfast pastries if the local cafes are closed. The room was clean, and the towels & linen were good quality.

The mattress was a little on the thin side, as were the curtains. The shower was difficult to turn on. The stairs would be tricky for some people as the steps were not very deep i.e. not much room for your foot. It was self-checkout in the morning (which is ok in itself), but might have resulted in an alarm going off if someone was propping the front door open too long.

Easy walk to the city centre. Breakfast provided was appreciated as we had some early starts to our days. Stayed over Easter and were delighted to find that the host had treated us to chocolate eggs and a bottle of wine. I liked the bedding so much I looked at the tags and ordered the duvet for myself - loving it ;)

The place is excellent value for money. Chris Anne (the host) was very welcoming and friendly and there were great little extras like bacon and egg. One bathroom is a slight problem but a second separate toilet goes a long way to making up for it. We enjoyed the location which is a little remote.

What a great find. Lovely quiet, country location. Super friendly owners. Very, very welcoming - I’m a solo ‘motor biker’. After a long day in the saddle… the offer of a freshly made cuppa was most welcome. And then… what a lovely bonus.. some home made lemon drizzle cake. Perfick

Nothing really, the bathroom was down the corridor.. but I knew that when I booked. And that was reflected in the price.

There were 2 of us in a room for 4 so there was plenty space. The room was warm and the beds comfortable. Large bathroom and very good shower. Well equipped kitchen and very large dining room

My only improvement would be to put in a small fold up table ( or perhaps 2) so that guests would have somewhere to put laptop or to write on, other than perching on the bed.

Water pressure in showers poor.. loud continous noise when turning on taps or flushing toilet which stops after a while

Felt like we were in reception area, be asked to leave early as they had a wedding the next day, knocking on the door, half a toilet roll, kettle next to the television, bed was uncomfortable, small towels, didn't want to open the window as felt like everyone could see in and hear everything
