Breakfast was a choice of cereals, fruit juice, fruit and a cooked breakfast to your requirements. The hosts Alan and Cath were lovely and you felt as if you were visiting and staying with relatives. A lovely welcome and a nice homely atmosphere. Our room was at the front, but there was no disturbance during the night of any traffic noise.

Large room, very comfy bed. Pub area very welcoming. Great breakfast. One morning a middle aged team member was looking after a Norwegian couple at breakfast, she went out of her way to try and translate for them. She really did give exceptional service.

Dinner wasn’t great for the price. Salmon swimming in grease or butter unnecessary as it had a sauce, tender stem broccoli so tough almost inedible. I was still hungry afterwards, luckily biscuits in the room. I bought a sandwich for my second night.

Our bikes were locked in a secure shed overnight. Fabulous deep bath with plentiful supply of hot water. Evening meal and breakfast were very good. 15 minute stroll down lane to coast path and lovely views.

Decor was a little dated - especially in bathroom. Saniflow in bathroom was noisy. (Though neither of these bothered us greatly.)

I appreciate that WiFi is available in the common areas, however, in this day and age, I feel it should reach all rooms as well.

There were two main issues: 1) The bathroom had not been cleaned. The shower drain was blocked, so the drainage was very slow making the whole shower experience very unpleasant and stressful. There were pubic hair around the sink. And there were urine stains on and under the toilet seat. After notifying the staff on the 2nd day, the sink was cleaned. They further tried to contact their maintenance team but couldn't reach them. When checking out, I found out that another room was prepared for me to move into, but nobody had notified me about this so I ended up staying in the same room for the last (2nd) night. 2) The room was very close to one of the fire doors in the corridor, so there was a constant noise of a slamming door very early in the morning and late into the night.
