I was booked to a room where somebody stayed already (the room was occupied) when I called the owner he came straight away and gave me a different room. Room was not very nice. Bed sheets looked clean but didn't smell fresh. Carpet from the 80's. Tones of dust on the chandelier. The descriptions said there is a spa bath in the room. There was no bath at all just a shower cabin from the 80's. There was no remote for the Tv. Also the room descriptions said loads of other things were provided, such as bath robe, slippers etc. None of them were there

When I asked the owner about the tv remote he said he will check but never got back to me. I texted him again asking if he could give me a code to another room so I could grab a remote from another room he agreed. So I got the remote at 10.30pm (staying for 1 night only) It was quite close to luton airport Bed was comfy No night light, so I had to put on the bathroom light and partially close the door to have a soft light at night when watching tv

The English breakfast was of a very high quality (Sausages ! ) The location was central The room was large and clean. The beds comfortable. The Shower was very modern with the water coming from the ceiling above you. The best in my opinion. The Staff were all friendly and helpful. I must mention the very gregarious /friendly and helpful Sarah in particular.

There was surprisingly no information re the hotel in the room . On arrival on the Saturday we were told the time of breakfast for the Sunday . But were not informed the time was different on the Monday . Given there was no information pack in the room we were unaware of this. I must mention my biggest criticism . I had pre paid in advance 3 days before the trip. On arrival the member of staff tried to debit my account again with the full tariff. She was unable to do this only because I did not have enough money in my account to cover this. If I had had enough funds in she would have debited my account twice. That would have meant I would have had to do the "donkey work" to recover the amount from Bookings.com. I think this would have been a real inconvenience and would have taken time and numerous e mails to resolve. Thank good ness I don't leave large sums of money lying around in my current account. The hotel should have been aware after I informed them that I had paid in full to check their bank statement to confirm this. I have to say the above did not detract from the great weekend we had in Chichester . But it is worth mentioning for future reference !

Really cool space with lots of nice decor & fantastic fittings. Easy to navigate self check in & out. Great location. Comfy bed, great bath.. I could go on!

Our room was basic, hot and stuffy even with window open . Decor was tired, doors chipped and dusty. Bathroom had a lot of dust in corners and around shower . We had a twin room at back of hotel , beds were small singles, fortunately we are slight people ! Noisy fans could be heard through the night Very basic and minimal amounts of tea and coffee in room but could get extra by asking at bar . Instant coffee was dreadful and coffee from bar/restaurant was not great either - no strength.

There was an odd clunking sound coming from the water tank cupboard, it happened every 90 seconds all evening. I think it was air in the system or something, later after I had run the taps the noise moved to the bathroom where I couldn’t hear it so much.

Having to park car away from road because you need permit/disc and was assured by owners you did not need any, cars without disc were fined. No toilet brush. New pillows these very flat
