The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Location is in less desirable end of the city, but still a good location in relation to distance to the city centre. Hotel is modern and rooms are very comfy and clean. Buffet breakfast is very good. Restaurant and bar area also nice. Would recommend to stay here!!!

A couple of mornings, buffet breakfast staff were minimal/ slow in replacing empty food and drink areas on the buffet, but apart from that, very good.

Bed was comfy, room in general wasn't too bad, nice place to stay for a short trip. Seafront in this area was disappointing.
Negative section of review
Room and hotel in general had outdated decor, shower cubicle too small but functional, a little pricey for this standard of hotel, no breakfast or drinks facilities other similar hostels have these. There was a local outbreak of the parasite in Devon due to South West water and the hotel rep did not mention this at all at reception, this should have been addressed clearly.

Stairs, Stairs, Stairs!!! They advertise the hotel has stairs to the rooms, so were warned in advance, but it is ridiculous to think heavy bags could be carried up them to the rooms. The actual stairs are very dangerous to say the least, as the depth of the steps on the staircase are very narrow. Wifi does not work in any rooms or in most parts of hotel. Only get reception in back lounge area (unacceptable). The hotel is very dated. Rooms are very small and bathroom still has a shower inside the bath tub which is difficult and dangerous for older people to get in and out of. The restaurant for breakfast or dinner had no atmosphere (really dark and waitress staff have no warmth). Oh, and after no wifi in room for 3 days nor offer of compensation, they slugged me $10 pounds for on site parking (albeit with a smile). Reminded me of "Fawlty Towers the 2nd". Overall, would never recommend anyone to stay here, unless no availability elsewhere.
