This is a great place in a beautiful area, under a mile off the coast path, the food is good with two vegetarian choices for sunday roast which we enjoyed and of course the ale went down very well also. It's not just the place that made our stay here so good, a mention must go to all the team that work here, all were really helpful and even on the busy times had a smile on their face, without doubt they deserve a lot of credit.

Great location and a beautiful 4 poster bed, Donna and Paul are amazing hosts, breakfast was outstanding and great hospitality, will defo be back for more and can’t recommend highly enough

- very helpful stuff at reception - vintage furnishing and the building itself make special atmosphere which I like - nice location if you travel by car - it was warm in the room

- if you travel without car the hotel is rather far from the city centre - the breakfast is cheap, but I would be glad to pay more to have more options

I booked a cot for my grandson. I called the hotel directly to ensure there would be a cot available and I was advised there would definitely be a cot as if demand was high, they could get one from next door. We arrived at the hotel after a 4 hour flight, it was very late and there was no cot in the room. The staff went to get one but when it arrived it was broken. They provided another one but it had no mattress. I don’t understand why the room wasn’t prepared before our arrival. My daughter was offered complimentary breakfast and although it was appreciated l, was very disappointed. There was an apple core left on the window sill in our room. I didn’t complain as we were very tired when we arrived but I was quite shocked.

Host asked for a £300 cash deposit into their bank account and wouldn’t give the key until it was done. Bearing in mind they didn’t ask for the money until a few hours before check in and the deposit was more than a nights stay it seemed a bit much. I also had to hassle and phone for them to return it to me. We checked in at 5pm (check in is at 4) and the cleaner and her daughter were sitting on the sofa watching TV!! No rush to leave either. House was a bit tatty, leaking boiler, mould over ceiling, shower falling apart- given they take a £300 deposit I expected the house to be immaculate. A bit of a shame as the house could be amazing.
