The front of house staff were fantastic nothing was to much trouble some of the big posh hotels that charge a fortune are put to shame. I certainly would stay there again and highly recommend to anyone I know that needs accommodation in Newcastle

Beautiful property in a lovely location. Everything we needed was provided. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Bed was very comfortable with good quality linen. There was parking on site. Breakfast was very good.

Not the fault of the property but access can be tricky at very busy times due to its location at a tourist destination.

The owner of the hotel Jeremy, and all the staff were very friendly and thoughtful. The bathroom was brand new and the bed linen was super. We were v lucky in that we got a parking space.

Arrived at 11.30pm to be told that the check in was not was not available due to a ‘system issue. Was sent off to the bar to wait (I am disabled and clearly walk with a crutch - there was no step free access in the lobby and nobody to help - after 30mins ‘waiting’ went back to desk then to be told that the ‘premier king’ room I booked was not available due to a ‘flooding’ issue and I was getting an ‘apartment’ which was ‘similar’ to what I booked……..very tired at this stage so accepted the keycard. Went to the ‘apartment’ which is clearly in the not refurbished (and forgotten) part of the building. There were no words to describe how not ‘similar’ this was to the booking I made - disgusting small room like a cheap cabin on a ferry - bed barely made and TV hanging off the wall - I don’t want to speculate what the stains on the carpet were and the ‘double’ bed was shoved in a corner up against a wall which is not suitable for my mobility - the bathroom was old and smelled and there was not enough space to turn around - I had to walk sideways to get in (this room was supposed to be a double). Reminded me of a cheap hostel or old student accommodation from the 70s. Needless to say we returned to the front desk and the desk clerk simply shrugged his shoulders and said ‘I told you it was not the room you booked’ - then said they were full and no other rooms…….it was now 1am and a queue had formed of other angry guests waiting for the 1 female manager trying to deal with everyone while the other two male desk staff busied themselves with their computer screens doing nothing to help.
