The staff were exceptional, friendly, approachable, patient and professional - could not be falted! My room was comfortable, bright and airy with a good supply of tea, coffee, biscuits, etc. The breakfast menu was varied and generous. Whilst I didn't have any cooked food I enjoyed the continental choices. The friends I was with really enjoyed their cooked food - tasty, generous portions, well presented and appetising! The food served on both the Saturday and Sunday nights was much tastier than on the Friday night (mushroom wellington in puff pastry as it should be!) and the hake was delicious. All the food served was delicious, the portions generous and the staff could not do enough to ensure we were aware of the delays, serve drinks at the table with smiling faces and a genuine sense of humour and caring attitude - excellent customer service at all times.

It would have been helpful to know a bit more about the layout of the hotel as the stairs are quite narrow and there are a few different levels which were a bit tricky to negotiate with a large suitcase. We were a bit disappointed with our meals on the Friday evening. The mushroom wellington was dry (shortcrust pastry?), the risotto was a bit dry, the chicken skewers were dry and the veggie spring rolls were quite thick and a bit dry too! Surprising as there were only a few diners (10-12?). Whilst the food served on the Sunday night was tasty and well presented, there were a few issues as we were a party of 20+. The meals were served over a longish period of time which meant that some diners had finished their meals before other diners were served! I fully appreciate that this was a large number to cater for so perhaps a smaller menu with less choice may have worked better?

Rooms were comfortable, great shower. Loved the location, the Thai restaurant opposite was incredible! Really lovely walk along the seafront to some great cafes in the morning. The breakfast was good, some nuts and seeds above the usual fare.

Breakfast was to expensive for us at £19:99 Would have cost the 4 of us £200 for 2 days When we could eat outside for £8 each including a coffee.

Beautiful house in stunning grounds, lots of character, felt very relaxing, reception staff very helpful and polite

Bedroom had character but the carpets could do with being steam cleaned or replaced, but did not ruin our stay, one member of staff seemed quite rude but the rest were lovely and the beds could do with new firmer mattress and more luxury bedding as a suggestion

Everything was exceptionally clean and staff very warm and friendly. Good location!

The only issue was the rooms are a little compact for three sharing, although everything we needed was there so it was acceptable for a short stay.

The property was clean and modern

The tv in both rooms didn’t work, there was a problem connecting to the internet. And whilst we was out most of The time, it would have been nice to be able to use this.
