Oh goodness I loved everything. The location is superb, right next to a bunch of stops for both busses and tram. It's also pretty close to alot of attractions, and not much of a walk to alot of other places. The staff are beyond lovely. The rooms are spotless clean and so comfy that the first night I actually overslept. The bathrooms are also nice and clean, separated with the showers shared. The kitchen facilities are so cute and well furnished, didn't need anything that wasn't already there, really. Although I didn't book any, there were alot of tours available that seemed to cover alot of things, I would definitely try them next time. Absolutely coming back here if I do ever go back to Edinburgh (hopefully).

This isn't something that bothered me, to be honest, but I know it would be a problem to some. The hostel is located up several flights of stairs with no elevators in sight. They do warn you about this, several times, so I was not surprised nor bothered by them but it really is the only "bad" thing I can think of. Everything else was perfect.

The location of this property was perfect for our trip. We were able to walk to Old Trafford, The Quays and also into the city. Instructions to get the key from lockbox were good, but we had so much trouble with locking the door to the apartment. Good to have an apartment for 4 people to stay together, although it was smaller than it looks in photos.

The apartment was filthy, unsure if there was even a clean in between guests. The property manager has let themselves down as it could have been a great stay. The bathroom was moldy, had hair on the floor, towel rails hanging off the wall, and a wet towel left in bathroom. Cutlery had been put back in the drawers unclean, previous guests' had left rubbish.... altogether a very disappointing start to the trip. Puts you off these types of listings for sure.

The room was spotless, and loved the little extras you don’t usually get; little basket in the bathroom with toothpaste, deodorant and other toiletries. Fresh milk and bread brought to us for breakfast. And the owner was lovely couldn’t be more helpful.

We loved the grounds and surrounding walks.. Mature trees. The lady at reception that greeted us was absolutely lovely, warm and helpful. The dining room with the fireplace was very nice room.

The food I had was dreadful. First nights dinner (Mushroom Stroganoff) tasted awful, possibly the worst food course I have ever ordered. The young lady who was in charge of the dining room was very sullen and dour, the complete opposite to our welcome at reception. Surely breakfast on the first morning would charge me up…No the porridge was like wallpaper paste, tasteless and obviously made with water not milk! Once again uneatable! Next came my order of the cooked veggie sausage, beans, tomato and scrambled eggs. No tomato 🙈 sausage cold 🙈 scrambled eggs a tan colour and tasted terrible…..thank god for the baked beans. Toast floppy, must have been warmed with a hairdryer, limp not crisp! Needless to say we never had dinner in hotel on our second night, we eat elsewhere. Second days breakfast was better as we stuck to pre packaged Weetabix and boiled eggs… a success!

Noisy in night and noise when housekeeping came on in the morning was horrendous doors banging etc. Bed was hard as a rock. Staff were trying hardest despite being short staffed. Room was internal room and was tiny. Bathroom was shabby and needed attention. Reminded us of faulty towers.

The location situated on a street surrounded by houses with music blasting in a culdesac, room so tiny and the walls are thin you could literally hear the person in the next room snoring so loud, no staff just key entry with key fob on wall, basically just a house no facilities apart from a bathroom for about 5 rooms. And the bed was literally years old springs galore in the mattress.
