This was a proper old fashioned bed and breakfast of the highest standard. The owners met us at the door on arrival and assisted with our parking, luggage and any questions about the house and area. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean. We had a choice of breakfast options that we booked in advance and these were delivered to the dining room when we arrived in the morning.

We are vegans and the options were limited but I would imagine for meat eaters, the breakfast was fabulous. I don't expect the same treatment as a vegan and what we got was well cooked and very tasy.

Traditional Welsh B&B. Clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast (served between 8-9), is well cooked and plenty of choices. Great central location. Very close to bus stop, at least 5 pubs and the local shops. We used Just Park to leave our car in the Coop carpark, which is 5 mins walk from the B&B. Parking in Eldon Square, Dolgellau is free on Sunday.

The hotel is not new, so many items in the room and bathroom were a bit dated. We could benefit the second blanket. There was confusion around check-in time: 14:00 on booking.com, 15:00 on the pre-check-in form (earliest option in the drop-down), 16:00 at the hotel.

Check in was 1600hrs Arrived at 1720hrs with 3 very tired children,checked in and went up to our room Upon entering the room there was a man fixing items in the room so we were told to go and wait in reception,waiting there 20 minutes with my children was not a great experience However we eventually got to our room and then realised the T.V didnt works and there were hairs in and around the sink and the bath Went to reception again with 3 kids in tow and complained about this,changed rooms and all i got from the staff was (we understand your frustration) no you clearly do not understand my frustration at all as paid good money for this (Couldnt be bothered asking for refund or part refund People late at night shouting and god forbid someone in the next room uses the toilet as you can hear that flushing from your room too Worst experience ever so would not recommend
