Not only did she take the time to help us with our series of questions (when our check-in was already past 9.30PM), but she also helped drive us to the train station. Her recommendation really made a difference to our trip...we would have tried to lug our large suitcases from Nikko to Tokyo (thinking that it was only a train ride away) if not for her advice to pre-send them to our Tokyo hotel.   The ensuite is a box-like room inside the bedroom. It's very modern but from the outside it seems a bit weird as it's not connected to all the walls and just sits there as a standalone unit. Nice TV and kettle. Room was clean. Good resolution by reception staff as i was uncomfortable paying a £200 deposit on top of room fee. They were willing to reduce this for my comfort to £150.

  Be aware that the pictures are misleading. The sofas and tv are not part of the 'suite' you believe you are booking. It's just a room. I was emailed the wrong address by the reception staff. He apologised and said I must've confused him in my emails. (that doesn't make sense because I have a confirmed booking through booking.com). This resulted in me arriving at the wrong location at 10pm and being told it's just a short walk away. (10 minutes on google maps and not helped by carrying heavy luggage) We'd paid for a taxi to this wrong address and weren't offered any help to walk our luggage to this new location. The 'second-floor' room is actually up 4 flights of stairs. At 9.30am I was woken up to the housekeeping lady opening my locked door and saying 'sorry sorry'. Check-out is at 11am. I'm very shocked that they let themselves in before that time. I could've been in the shower.. This is a very homest review and something i don't usually spend much time doing. I think this was the most unprofessional hotel I've ever stayed at. As one user said before, you're better off spending a little extra money for something better even if you're looking for a budget place, it's not worth it. And I've stayed in hostels
