Excellent location, close to the station, the town centre and easily within reach of the cricket ground. The staff were friendly and helpful. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and well designed.

The beds are exceptionally comfortable!! Although the room needed a little updating it was very clean!

The room was a bit tired and very basic amenities. The tea and coffee had to hunt for and the hairdryer could really do with updating. No AC in the room but fortunately it was quiet outside so we opened the window fully.

The shower in the en-suite room needs serious attention, the extraction is not adequate, the smell is dreadful, so much so I didn’t wish to use the shower and the smell drifts into the bedroom, not pleasant at all. The towels provided were very tired and looked stained.

The list is long, firstly beware that the hotel is probably scamming people. I booked this last minute and I received messages via watsapp asking to pay the £100 refundable deposit or £2.97 not refundable deposit (not explained for what) then asked to send a picture of my ID via watsapp, which I refused. On arrival they refused to check us without a picture being sent through watsapp (the written text on BOOKING.com says SHOW ID on arrival). We then got into our room (supposed to be a Junior Suite) looked nothing like the pictures and was filthy. The ceiling was leaking water into the bathroom, which was not clean and very basic. The floor had human and dog hair all over it along with food crumbs and stains, the kettle has never been cleaned as the amount of limescale/slime inside was horrid. The bed sheets were stained and looked like they had mould on, the mattress was horrid we sank into it anyone with any physical issues would hurt themselves getting in and out of the beds due to the high frames and rubbish mattress. The bed frame was about break with any pressure. The radiator was broken making loud nosies, only one window was able to open which was necessary! To top it all off our hotel door wouldn't lock, and they wouldn't come to help us when we called but they were also fully aware it didn't work. When we asked to move room they said they were full, I asked fro a refund to go elsewhere and they again refused laughed and that was the end of the conversation. I highly recommend paying any amount of extra money to stay anywhere else, I have no idea where the 4* has come from, severely overpriced, unclean, and very unprofessional .

Boiler wasn’t working. No hot water. Smelt like dog even though we chose this caravan on booking.com out the the others as it didn’t state dog friendly. Double bed was broken and WiFi didn’t work.
