Breakfast was good. Bed was good. Shower was very good. All the staff were great and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent for me as I love a full English and this was a good one, limited other options.

Reception is not good, have to go in through pub and nothing to tell you where the hotel check in is, bit unfortunate that there was a pub crawl crowd in at the bar when we arrived so not a good start. Very noisy in room from pub music and shouting below,

The mattress had collapsed in the middle of the bed so it was very uncomfortable. They are very limited disabled access. I had requested a ground floor or first floor room. When I booked, I was confirmed to be on the first floor in room nine, however, when I arrived I was told I was on the second floor in room 12. I have an issue climbing stairs due to disability. I mentioned this to the guy on the desk and he said I’ll help you carry your bag. I only had a rucksack Then at 2:30 in the morning, I was woken by the sound of running and dripping water as if somebody had left the tap on in the room above me. I phoned the hotel and the night Porter came to the room and heard the noise but didn’t do anything about it. The water noise stopped at 4:45 in the morning. At which point I had not slept all night.

The interconnecting bathroom between the two bedrooms is not ideal, especially as there are no locks on the doors. The living room furniture is a little basic and not that comfortable for 4 adults.
