  Breakfast was delicious and fresh. Elaine also made us more pancakes because we seemed hungrier. She had a high chair set up for my daughter and had other fruit and yogurt set out in case we wanted more than our main meal.

  The location was great. Right in town and a three minute walk to the Guildhall where we were going to a gig.

  If I’m going to be picky, there were two sweets dropped on the floor, not sure if they were meant for the room or whether they were just left but that’s all. We were there for a shower and to sleep. A fan in the room would’ve been nice as it was hot and stuffy. But they are my only two picks.

  Very helpful and cheerful staff, reception went the extra mile to get the kitchen to do a meal for me.

  Bedrooms very tired and basic, needed a refurb. One bulb was out, just not up to modern standards. Needs a lift if on upper floors as a lot of windy stairs to negotiate with luggage.
