The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

For the price, this accommodation is superb. The room with double bed was quite big and comfortable for one person. Spotlessly clean. The shared toilet and shower were also very clean. Just off London Rd and a short walking distance to the University of Leicester, the railway station and the city centre. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

Thin walls.

The apartment is surprisingly bright and spacious. It is nicely decorated. Large bathroom that includes a bath tub. Location is great: merchant city is a hip area with lots of pubs and restaurants. A Tesco shop that is open until late is a 5 minutes walk away.

There are a couple of things that should be improved, that I will share here in the hope that the owner will take them into account, because this place does have the potential to become my go-to accommodation for Glasgow. - The thin white curtains in the bedroom do not block the streetlights at all, they should be replaced by thicker curtains. - There are no symbols/numbers whatsoever on the buttons for the stove and the oven - presumably due to wear? We could not figure out how to use the latter (oven was still cold after 30 minutes) and it also took us a while to realise how to use the stove. - The chandelier in the kitchen hangs right above where you’d stand while cooking; my husband bumped his head against it several times. - There was no coffee maker available, only a kettle and some instant coffee. We would have appreciated a french press or a coffee machine of any sort. - Lastly, a bread knife would have been useful.

we needed a one night stay prior to us driving to the outer Hebrides....rooms were comfy, downstairs restaurant was a real bonus and excellent for an early morning breakfast....
Negative section of review
Nothing, it was an older style pub which we were expecting, the car park was a bit of a squeeze for our hire car but otherwise no complaints

Iona lodge was very quirky and very clean and comfortable. It had everything you needed. It had a lovely decking area with patio furniture and a swinging garden seat

Breakfast was included which is a bonus as is the free parking. We did not but you could have dinner at the hotel or a drink at the bar.

It is a little out of Cambridge which means there are no shops or restaurants just outside your door, but we knew that when we booked so not a problem for us. Rather than drive into the centre of Cambridge where it is difficult to find a park, we caught the bus in which is convenient.
