The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

We stayed just one night before flying out of Heathrow. We shared a family room with three single beds and it was comfortable enough for the one night with good beds and a decent shower. We spent the evening in the restaurant/bar which was pleasant and spacious.

There wasn't a lift so we had to carry our suitcases up two flights of stairs which was a little difficult for myself (at 5ft) and my 80 year old mum. The hotel publicises that it has trained its staff to help with luggage but the man on reception had no intention of helping us - he was very dismissive and just told us that there was no lift so we'd have to carry our suitcases up the stairs. The hotel is clearly a three star hotel and was not costly so we were aware than it wouldn't be luxurious but we wouldn't have stayed if we'd have realised it didn't have a lift or porters.

Good location right in the village of Eton with parking available on site, albeit at a cost. Good breakfast and helpful staff. Bed was comfortable.

This is a very old establishment and although the units have been updated at some time we thought ours was dark, tired and dusty.

Staff service was excellent. It is good to have a shop on site. Rooms comfortable and clean. Very quiet. Felt safe as a female travelling alone

My wife, whom I booked the room for, hard of hearing so interacting with staff on reception caused an issue for me as desk was quite deep. However the staff member was excellent and patient

Friendly staff
Negative section of review
It is advertised as being in Brightling but it isn’t it’s in the boring village of Netherfield. The room is bleak and very dated in decor, absolutely no feel of comfort or luxury. Cheap curtains and bedcover. View is interrupted by ugly modern roof and outdoor cool room. All night a thrum of a machine kept us awake, I think it was a fridge as it stopped and started. Bed wasn’t comfortable. Hard and no comfy mattress topper. Wildly overpriced.
