  Ascot house is a lovely base to visit York city, about a 10 min walk into the center. The beds we're very comfy, rooms well equipped . The breakfast was absolutely spot on, using all local produce, filled you up . Staff, all very pleased that couldn't do enough for you. A wholesome lovely place to stay

  I'm very happy to have found a hotel, which accepts cash. Finally! I don't know why it's so hard with some hotels in the UK. But location is great, perfect views from the 9th floor. I have not tried the breakfast this time, but I am sure to try it again next time!

  Everything was catererd for and we wanted for nothing. Fantastic facilities including a bar fridge. Brilliant wide screen tv that included netflix. Breakfast was superb with fruit cereals and full fry up.
