Positive section of review
Location, the building itself and the room were up to scratch. I can't fault the level of comfort that the rooms offer, quiet, enough space without being especially spacious and a perfect location on the main road but far enough away to avoid traffic noise. Parking was very convenient. We didn't partake in breakfast or an evening meal.

There were several minor points of maintenance that needed attention. Peeling paint in the bathroom A shower head that fired water across the room to reach the other side and dripped on the floor A leaky valve on the toilet A sticking light switch in the bathroom. A blown lightbulb in the room itself.

Lovely room, good location and sea view, good free parking on the road (April). Very clean. Good breakfast. Plenty of good near by eating places.

Daily smell of cigarette smoke outside our room on landing. Would have been nice to have biscuits each day as most places provide this. Room servicing is on request so if you forget to put a request on the door it is not done and you can run out of essentials.

"I was very happy and relieved to learn that I had been upgraded to the lotdge. Unfortunately, the other guests who had booked for the wedding party had a terrible experience. They complained of loud noises coming through the walls, cold showers, and bare floors. If I had been put in one of those rooms, I would have been deeply disappointed and would have left immediately. Most of the other guests were extremely upset, and one even left early because they couldn't bear to stay another night. My daughter, husband, and two young boys were also affected by the room, which was unacceptable given the amount of money she had paid." "I was surprised when I asked for a slice of bacon with my avocado and poached eggs and was told that it would cost extra. My husband's full breakfast had more food than my breakfast, so I couldn't understand why I had to pay extra, especially since breakfast was included in the room rate. When I asked about it, the server showed me a menu, but there was no mention of an extra charge for bacon. It may seem like a small issue, but I didn't feel it was fair."

Incredible! Feels so luxurious and well designed. Facilities are great - especially the main kitchen dinner.
