Tent was so homey and has everything we could possibly need in terms of utensils and bedding. Perfect for our first attempt of camping with 2 small kids - it was definitely made easier by having so many home comforts. Pitch was a little wet and muddy but we prepared for that with wellies and it was absolutely fine apart from the dog got very mucky.

It didn’t impact our stay but it would be great if the gate to the road connected to a fence like on the other sides of the pitch as the side onto the road is the only one with no secure fencing.

Really lovely setting and restaurant. Breakfast was lovely. Room was large and comfortable with information on local walks anf things to do. Staff really friendly too. Bonus that it is dog friendly.

We were unlucky in that there was a big group staying in the room opposite and downstairs who were very noisy, drinking, smoking outside our room and kids playing football outside which kept upsetting our dog until gone 10pm. Wasn't the quiet relaxing stay we hoped for unfortunately but this wasn't the fault of the staff, we were just unlucky.

Nice compact accommodation that was perfect for this short stay. Good bathrooms and kitchen, with the extra bed sofa downstairs a real asset. Really comfy spaces.

•No welcome. •Black mould throughout and damp behind peeling wallpaper in the room. •Wallpaper attached with staples •Dangerous electrics using excessive multi sockets •No TV remote •Tea/coffee/cup for 1 not a family if 4 • No information in the room regarding anything •Breakfast from 8.30am maybe so they don't have many people having it •No WiFi •Room and hotel bears no resemblance to the pictures on Booking.com •No privacy in bathroom, window covered with snow in a can to provide some cover •Whole place smells of old food •Dirty carpets throughout •I'll fitting room fire doors •I would have made a complaint directly had I been able to find any member of staff •Bedside lamp but no plug socket to plug in to. •Do not stay here. Perhaps the very worst and most dangerous hotel I have ever stayed it. •I'd ask for my money back as I think this whole place is a scam. However, I doubt the owners will even read this, let alone be bothered by it. •If I could have given a score of 0 or a minus I would have done. Again, save yourself the time and money and DO NOT STAY HERE.
