Buffet continental breakfast only offered, but perfect for our lifestyle. Very reasonably priced and generous home cooked evening meals, Try the home cooked beef and ale pie if you are hungry. Good ale and a rather nice selection of wines.

Lovely room with all I needed and magnifcent windows. Its central and handy for all the shops and transport links. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Really enjoyed the cooked breakfast.

The property did not reach standards of accommodation booked through Booking.com. It was in a unmaintained and decrepit building, had a dirty entry door and vestibule with dirty and torn carpet, in need of painting with rubbish on a table. The lift had handwritten warning signs to ‘be careful’. The corridor to the apartment had large areas of missing paint. The carpet was dirty and doors had dirt around the handle area. On entering the apartment the architrave was falling off and held up by an electrical cord passing under it to a nearby cupboard with power boards. Window frames were broken and had been roughly patched with filler and poorly painted. Windows were filthy. Some were covered (previously broken?) and did not open. Cover strips on floor joins were missing leaving a gap in the floor. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was dirty and had a hole in the to the roof. The kitchen was non-compliant with a stove top on a cupboard with no above stove ventilation . The microwave was not where the photos had presented it as thermos no power source. The hot water system in the shower was loosely attached to the wall and the water swung between too hot and cold. There was a strong smell of cleaning fluid mixed with air fresheners.

The room was tired needs redecorating. Around the shower door was not very clean or maybe it just needs replacing. Also the toilet.
