The front desk service on my check in was exceptional. The lovely girl (from next door at the Holiday Inn) went above and beyond to help me. It was truly appreciated.

Staff at breakfast were excellent but greeting staff member miserable. Excellent breakfast and good location with good public areas.

Light control in room 555 was broken so could not use bedside lamp unless we left the wall lights on - hence when I got up in the night for the loo it was a case of fumbling in the dark.

Bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Dinner options were good too. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking.

A loud kitchen extraction fan is ducted through the wall in Room 3 and this results in a very loud disruptive noise. This prevented both of us from being able to sleep and when I complained I was told that we should have been warned about this on arrival. We were not told this and we were not offered an alternative room or any reimbursement. The fan was turned off around 10:00-10:30pm.

Air conditioning dripped throughout the night so we had to turn it off which made the room incredibly warm. Unable to open the window due to outside noise. Also, we were unable to have breakfast due to an early start but the hotel were unable to box up a takeaway breakfast.

It was not clean. I had a hair on my pillow whilst the bed was recently made and other parts of the facility were just not very clean plus there was a part which smelled like weed but I probably came down to a guest who was smoking in his / her room.

Overpriced for that weekend for some reason went from 80-90 for a night to £180 that particular weekend, not value for money despite location. Also given disability room which lower washbasin with a bad back was not good.
