The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Fantastic hosts. Violet and George (Chef) were genuine, lovely, and exceptionally helpful. The room was larger than we expected and had everything to make our stay great. The breakfast was beautiful and the menu had a great choice and was a fabulous start to the day. We will use this B&B in the future with our travels to Ilfracombe.

Staff were excellent and the chap who booked us in at 11pm was EXCEPTIONAL! He was friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, funny and tolerant of a couple of very weary travellers. I am annoyed that I can't remember his name but he deserves recognition.

Could only access the hotel from one side of the motorway and we were on the wrong side and then had to double back in the morning.

The location is just a minute walk from Finsbury Park tube station. Really convenient for a commute to Central London. Easy access to the flat with clear instructions. Good storage space, comfortable bed and clean bathroom.

Unfortunately,it was too warm in the room, and keeping the window open didn't help as there was no cross ventilation, and the neighbourhood is not the quietest. Quite noisy actually. The bathroom is a bit too small for a comfortable stay.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was in a great location and wasn’t too noisy. Managed to leave our luggage on the day of check out and felt safe to leave it there.

The shower pressure was a little low but it wasn’t the end of the world.

The location is beautiful. Gorgeous view over the Loch, particularly at dinner/breakfast. Rooms are very spacious and have everything you need. Staff were lovely.

The bed was very uncomfortable. One side had a significant dip and you could feel all of the springs. Was fine for one night but an updated mattress would do wonders.

It's a very good location, 5 minutes on foot from the Tower and prom. The staff were friendly and efficient, especially at breakfast.
Negative section of review
The twin room, not the one I had checked into online, was substandard. The booked room was on the 3rd floor and the picture on Booking.com looked great. Bright and a decent size. On arrival I was told there had been a problem with the room and was given a key to the next door room. This turned out to be a double. I asked for a twin and was then given a room on the ground floor. No criticism of the receptionist, who was fine, but the room was very small and probably hadn't been redecorated for decades.

Friendly helpful staff, location overlooking harbour, close to town. Excellent restaurant, especially breakfast.
