Benside cottage was clean, comfortable, warm and made cosy. Parking is right by the cottage and there is small secure garden for our dogs. The hosts provided milk, wine, bread, biscuits and fruit, household cleaning items and essentials like foil, salt and oil plus much more. Lovely friendly hosts without being intrusive and answered questions by text promptly.

Great property. Big enough for us all. Quirky lay out, lots of bathrooms and good sized bedrooms.

It’s got a teeny kitchen so not v set up for cooking meals if that’s your thing. It’s got all you need though. It’s right by the bars and cafes so be prepared to hear the nightlife if you go to bed early. We were on the top floor so the sound is muffled.

The noise coming from the plumbing in the shower ALL night. All in, about 2 hours sleep as its so loud. Told the staff at checkout but wasn't really interested.

There was no physical meet and greet. The room, although clean, was extremely basic with no personal or homely touch. There wasn’t even a bedside lamp. I also didn’t like the fact that the bed was pushed up to the wall which was cold when you turned over in your sleep and pressed against it as one person had to sleep against the wall. The plugs were also at a strange place (middle of the wall by the bed) which meant charging your phone was an issue as they had to be on the bed overnight. The shower was cold and couldn’t find a way to get it warm at all. Definitely not worth the money we paid.
