Food was outstanding ordered room service, parricularly the vegetable and goat cheese pie. Service was amazing, the lady at desk, offered to carry our bags to which I politely declined and she showed us all the way to our room which was a first for local hotels. Room was very clean and tidy

There wasn't anything to like, mid week prices less than £50, weekend over £100 for the same room/ facilities, About £50 is about what it's worth, adding "Regency" to its name to make believe its a quality hotel, is a bit of a laugh.

The list is endless; Dirty windows, dirty/marked carpet, cracked/ "rocking" tiles in the bathroom, a "cut" hazzard, lights not working, damaged bedroom furniture, walls marked/ damaged, urine stained bathroom floor grout and cobwebs clearly demonstrate rooms aren't cleaned. I was tempted to move the bed, but it would have been "scarey" what was probably behind. We tried to move rooms but surprisingly it was full. If we had of checked in earlier, we would have checked out again, it was that bad. At night time the area is a "no-go" zone, park on the road at your peril, try finding a road without a "pool" of glass from some other unsuspecting visitor. I met a young guy in the lift, holding his hand as he was assaulted somewhere near the hotel, maybe says all you need to know on the location. Daytime, less intimidating, pleasant even and close to a nearby park. Also worth noting the pictures of food on their page should not be there, as no food is available and the lounge area is blocked off, and doesn't look like its been used in some time. In fact all pictures were taken some time and and DO NOT represent what you can expect today.

We wished for somewhere to relax with comfort and good food. we found exactly that. the view over the loch while lying back in the hot tub after a day of sightseeing is perfect.

Didn't get our early morning alam call and suspect that was because duty manager on reception was fast asleep when we left. There was also someone sheltering in the doorway of the hotel with all his stuff in the way when we left so we had to try and get over it with all our luggage. If duty manager had been awake he could have dealt with that.
