Alice and Eric were absolutely lovely. Alice went out of her way to make us feel welcome, even though we were arriving late at night. Eric cooked us a wonderful breakfast the next morning. We were sorry that they were fully booked, so couldn't stay a second night

Very friendly welcome. Lovely pub, have stayed here before but not for a long time and it looked as though everything had been newly decorated. The rooms are big with a sofa and the coffee machine and bottled water was very much appreciated. Breakfast was very good.

Comfortable, clean, compact apartment in a very quiet location. The renovation has been done extremely well. Lovely walks nearby, perfect for taking the dog out. The treats on arrival were much appreciated!

Dirty, dirty, dirty. Sticky floors, handles and surfaces. Grime and dirt on pretty much everything. Very tired and in desperate need of redecorating. Facilities were non-existent, no tea or coffee making stuff except for a dirty kettle and 2 tea bags and 1 sachet of sugar. No cups! No soap or body wash and only half a toilet roll. Bare plastered wall, damp patches and dirty handprints on wall above bed. Shower head leaked and if you're taller than 5ft 10, you will have to duck to get your head under shower. Toilet had really nasty stains around it and on floor. Windows had cotton wool stuffed in them to stop drafts or rattles. Broken chest of drawers. WiFi not working. Corridors were a massive fire hazard with hundreds (no exaggerating) of laundry sacks and bin bags. The list can go on and on. If you want a great location and aren't worried about a clean or tidy place then this is ok, but there are places as cheap as this with much cleaner and better facilities. I would avoid this place to be honest. It's a shame because they could charge a whole lot more if they just invested some money and effort on it. The location is what makes it.

It’s definitely not a 4 star hotel. It’s not well kept. Food is average at best. Poor water pressure for showering - a trickle in a bathtub shower combo. Not want you’d expect from a “4*” hotel.
