Sense of living in a big house with several rooms and amenities. Wonderful hosts with plentiful of suggestions of what to do in the area! I followed these instructions and it made my two days of travelling along NC500 - from places where to eat, routes to take and extra activities like surfing as well. The place is unique and I think one of the best in the area. Big thanks to James and Kirsty! I would totally recommend to friends and would consider for my next stay too to chat with these wonderful hosts and share what’s new.

I wouldn’t say I didn’t like it as everything was really cool and you can see it from my pictures, but for personal 10 I would like to have a newer mattress (although current one is good and bed linen is fantastic!) and if being capricious - coffee machine at the place, like nespresso as it is quite difficult in some areas to find decent coffee in coffee shops. As of mattresses - I found it’s relevant to all places I stayed at during my trip at NC 500 in 2024 within the price range of 80-150£ per night.

Super comfortable, very large bed. Spotless bathroom. In fact everywhere was spotless. The building itself was lovely, particularly the courtyard and breakfast looking out to the river and gardens. Staff were charming and efficient - all staff, from reception to bar. No wait to checkin or leave. Liked the peaceful location outside the madness of Oxford in summer - 15 minutes to Westgate to park in the evening.

The Ryanair style extra charges. £7.50 to park our car(!!!) in the hotel car park. £18 flat rate breakfast. You need barista made coffee if you're going to charge this and an extra £3.50 for anything cooked fresh. The most expensive croissant and vending machine coffee I've ever had.

We loved our ground floor room with a small balcony, perfect for us and our dog! The breakfast restaurant managers (Adrian & Ninash) were both incredibly professional, helpful, polite, and super friendly. They set up a table especially for us in the snug so we could bring our dog. The Hotel with its grounds and gardens are amazing! Easy to park.

The location was perfect. A nice little stroll to the lake itself. The staff were amazing and we even managed to get a complimentary ride in the bentley which was a nice touch. Loved our room. The hot tub was great!!! We loved the spa also. Didnt want to leave :( cant wait to go back

Good location, quiet, easy access to town and seafront. Large kitchen area and spacious overall. Lovely bathroom with jacuzzi bath and shower.

Dirty bins sprawled around yard. Unable to program tv and no instructions. Not really as advertised, advert says books and games and dvds when there were none. Was not aware of security deposit until day before and then had to chase for refund 7 working days later- disappointing and poor.

The entrance off street needs upgrading like painting . The washer needs instruction, no matter what we did it ran for more than 2 hours.. we could not get it to dry well. The set of knives on counter are blunt. Full length mirror in a bedroom would be great.

Room was very poor ; bed was really uncomfortable; very small even though it was a triple room : bathroom was shocking, floor looked filthy , shower very small , toilet leaked at bottom ,sink rusty , old marked handwashing bottle with hardly any soap in it , chairs in room ripped, and our room was right above one of the lounges , things in room were vibrating with the loudness of music , badly decorated also . Breakfast was poor not much of it and not enough variety of food, no fresh fruit available, has to chose another table for two because the tables were so close to one another.No privacy eating.
