The room was exceptional - clean and big. And modern. The toilet was huge and the very clean and comfortable. The location was excellent - just a few mins walk to the main Murren train station. View was amazing (when it wasn’t foggy and weather was good).

Location is beautiful - set about 30 minutes walk (uphill) from Mürren. Quiet. Stunning views. Exceptional hosts that will go out of their way to make you feel cared for. We were a family of 8 in total, and due to unforseen circumstances, 2 people couldn't join. They pushed back our reservation and welcomed us with kindness. Thank you!

Such a warm and welcoming hostess, Janet. The room was so large and clean, wonderful updated bathroom- I enjoyed baths both nights! Comfortable beds. It's not fancy- but to me, clean and comfortable is way more important! Fabulous breakfast- yummy homemade breads, homemade yogurt, made to order coffee with steamed milk- just amazing!

Christoph’s warm hug and hospitality is exactly what you need after the hike up to the dormitories. Make no mistake, it is an uphill climb, make sure your heart can take it. If you have heavy bags, please take the last funicular up to Allmendhubel from Mürren before 5pm.
We had no regrets, Christophe received us right at the door and brought us warm snacks when we reached. Excellent service, dormitories were spacious and comfortable for our needs, you may leave your luggage there. Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed our stay in Murren. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The train station is right in town. There are many, many restaurants to choose from. There is a grocery store as well. However, Murren is promoted as a “car free” town but, on weekdays, the town is full of work trucks.

Not sure if it was because of the lack of snow, but we found Murren to be quite sleepy. Very few tourists. Appeared to be lots of vacancies in town. Many shops appeared to have shut down for the season. The skiing was actually quite good at elevation throughout the Jungfrau region in spite of the lack of natural snowfall and we of course appreciate the train system to travel throughout the region. The terrain in the region is more beginner/intermediate than we anticipated, though there are some nice steeps if you know where to look. Murren seems to be the more remote place to stay so if traveling to the various resorts via train will annoy you, consider staying in Wengen or Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen.

Mürren was perfect.
Mürren was perfect. The town is quite nice and sits on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Lauterbrunnen Valley. We stayed in Grindelwald prior to staying in Mürren and we so glad we made the effort to stay here. Amazing!!!

Beautiful quiet village with easy access to all other locations in the Lauterbrunnen valley. There is not as much open in Murren in the period before the full winter season gets underway. Make sure you make a note of the Murren Bahn timetable.

The valley feels like Yosemite only bigger and more accessible. The town of Murren is at the top of the valley and mountains go up another few thousand feet from there. The whole place is unbelievably scenic.
A lot of things close down in early October, like the funicular train up the mountain..

Unbelievably beautiful location.
Hikes and trip to Schilthorn were great.
Restaurant at Schilthorn had very good lunch buffet.
Pizza at Eiger Guest house and Eidelwies was good.
In October check the train and funicular may be out of service

it’s an old hotel with old world charm.
location in the middle of Murren was perfect. it’s also perched on a high point offering superb views of the valley below.
I spent a lot of time in the lobby bar and “library” reading and relaxing.
the dining area is large and also with views of the valley.
the staff was superb and responsive and friendly. they helped us to organize hiking outings.
the breakfasts were abundant. Dinners were an excellent value
Our family unanimously consider this the best place so far in our two week trip to Italy and Switzerland. Our family room had lofted beds, a table and balcony with great views of the alps. It was brand new, stylish and very clean. The staff was friendly, funny and made us feel like we had friends in Mürren. The breakfast was great and dinner in the restaurant our favorite in Murren. We were sad to leave this slice of heaven in the Alps.
My daughter and I loved our stay at Hotel Alpenblick - it was the perfect location while we were in Switzerland for 3 days. Jeanette and Tom we incredibly kind and friendly - we felt right at home. The hotel was clean and perfectly located with wonderful views. As it is just a short walk from the train station getting to and from different areas was a breeze. A bonus is the great restaurant in the hotel.
Breakfast was good and we could eat as much as we wanted. The room was a good size for two persons. The small outdoor spa at the local sports complex a short walk away was really nice for soaking in surrounded by mountains, But our room had no view of the mountains for which we came a long way for. Murren itself is a pretty village with very beautiful traditional houses AND no traffic!
Hotel Alpina is a great place to stay. We had the best room facing the mountains. The view from our balcony was spectacular and unforgettable. The staff especially Maria was very nice and accommodating. Our hotel was simple yet very clean. It’s worth the money especially we had view of the alps day and at night with thousands of stars.
Close to railway station.
We were on the third floor which has a shower only, so had to go down a level to get to toilet.
Breakfast was good.
No dinner served in evening we were there, and hotel (Alpenbick I think it was) just down street was recommended. Just a short walk for a good meal.
The accommodation was clean, spacious and comfortable. We prepared our own meals and the kitchen had everything we needed. The views were beautiful from the bedrooms and the balcony. The grocery store, train and cable car were all conveniently close. We enjoyed our stay in Mürren very much!
Ideally located in Murren. Staff was awesome! They were attentive and very nice! We had several instances of the staff doing little things to help us that really made a difference to us! The hotel has been renovated recently and they did a great job. It was a first rate experience for us!
We rented one of the apartment. It has the best views of Murren, Lauterbrunnen , waterfalls, glaciers, and the mountains. The views from the apartment are amazing. I could not get enough of the views. The place is spacious, clean, comfortable, and with the best views in town.
The room was exceptional - clean and big. And modern. The toilet was huge and the very clean and comfortable. The location was excellent - just a few mins walk to the main Murren train station. View was amazing (when it wasn’t foggy and weather was good).
Absolutely gorgeous views from this apartment in the heart of the city. There was lots of space for my family, and we liked the comfy beds. Murren was our favorite place in Switzerland and we would love to go back some day.
