Hotel Salgueiro, hotel in Porto Moniz

Residencial Salgueiro offers wonderful sea views and a central location in Porto Moniz, on the northwestern tip of Madeira.

WOW! WOW! WOW! I absolutely LOVED this hotel! I visited in May 2024 and only paid €110 for a sea view room (108) and had a huge balcony and fabulous views of the ocean! Bed was comfy. Shower was excellent! Free breakfast was delicious! The check in lady was super helpful and kind and spoke good English. Definitely recommend the sea view room!! The neutral pools (the free ones) were a magical experience to me! One of the best things I’ve ever done!

Hotel Euro Moniz, hotel in Porto Moniz

With ocean views, Hotel Euro Moniz is only 328 feet from the pools in Porto Moniz. All Euro Moniz’s rooms have a cable TV and a bathroom with a bathtub or a shower. Some rooms feature balconies.

Great location, between the two pools of Porto Moniz. The breakfast was quite varied and good quality, coffee was average (had to ask and could have one from capsules rather than the automatic machine). Kind staff.

Casa da Grota, hotel in Porto Moniz

Casa da Grota is located in Porto Moniz, just 1.9 miles from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools and 26 miles from Girao Cape.

House has all the comforts of a family vacation home, spacious well equipped kitchen, private lounging bbq patio, family room… parking driveway is a little tight but still very nice to be off street. Beautiful views, quiet locale but also close to nearby attractions, grocery and restaurant. The drive to and from property is hilly and sharp turn at places, can take getting used to but not unusual for Madeira. Silvia the host is very responsive, kind and welcoming, checkin and out was simple and easy. Wonderful stay! Highly recommend.

A 1-minute walk from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools in Porto Moniz, Porto Moniz Villa provides accommodations with access to a solarium.

The husband/wife hosts were wonderful, going above an beyond to make this a great experience. There was a heat wave when we arrived which is atypical, so they got us fans the next morning. The location was terrific, both away from the day crowds at the pools but super close to the pools and the restaurants / grocery. The home was well appointed and the kitchen had everything you could need. Real treasure!

Loved the sea pools, with cafe for after swim drinks. and the peaceful evening walks. Easy to catch a bus further afield. Harder to get to levada walks than I expected, and I would avoid the ones that come back down steep hills to coast - rough and dangerous surfaces

This is not a sand beach vacation.

This is not a sand beach vacation. There are tidal pools to swim in if the weather cooperates. Be aware that the north side of the island is cooler and more likely to rain. We enjoyed our 2 night stay by the ocean but that was enough

Very good base to explore north-west side of the island Nice option if you want to cool down in the pool-there are actually 2 spots with ocean water, one more natural than the other, both can have better tourism services and catering options

A beautiful little town with the most beautiful swimming in Madeira in natural pools with sea water and sea fish. Protected from the waves and great for bathing and swimming, in a beautiful wild nature surrounded by rocks. Everything is close by car, the most beautiful levadas, the Fanal forest. Really spend more days.

We were driving around Madeira Island for 8 days & Porto Moniz was 1 of the most scenic area, beautiful rocky formations with the natural pools. We only stayed overnight, but wished we could have spent more time here, experience swimming the natural pools. Beautiful instamagramable picturisque views. We highly recommend Porto Moniz.

Porto Moniz is a tourist town in the far north of Madeira.

Porto Moniz is a tourist town in the far north of Madeira. the ocean view is amazing. The city has both natural and paid natural pools, where the only option is to swim. if you are a fish lover, there are really many good restaurants in this city. for us, the tastiest fish was Espada. It is also a great place to visit the Fanal forest, the Telegrafico gondola and the Rabacal area. for us, who are fans of bends, steep roads, beautiful nature and of course the sea, this part of the island was the most beautiful.

The tenants are very comprehensive. I was stuck at Madeira for 2 days during a correspondence and had almost no money and no one there. They took me from the airport and made my stay a real dream : they took me to beautiful places, gave me food and everything almost for free. The place is not like a fancy hotel but if you are looking to experience REAL Madeira, this place is perfect for you. That know all the places that tourists don’t know and they are kind That literally saved me from the nightmare I was living.

Super comfy beds, beautiful balcony view, great infinity pool at the top of hotel. During our stay hotel didn't look overcrowded, which was also a thing we liked - finding a place at the indoor/outdoor pools or breakfast was never a problem. Super friendly staff, had some welcoming gifts for us, helped us with everything we needed. We booked this hotel to relax after all the exploring we did on Madeira. We were really happy that we decided to choose this hotel - the stay was top-notch.

Rooms are located so close to the water that you feel you're at sea; I can't recall another hotel I've visited with rooms so close to the water. The hotel provides easy (and free) access to the adjacent natural swimming pools. Its two restaurants are probably your best dining options in Porto Moniz. Breakfast is pretty good, albeit with limited options. Adequate parking in front of the hotel and at its sister hotel on the other side of the port.

We had a pleasant stay in this hotel for a couple of nights in June. A neat family run hotel with a perfect location to discover the town and the pools. Our room had a nice balcony with an ocean view, the room was all nice and clean. We absolutely loved the cordial service of the staff, and going for a breakfast was a separate kind of joy thanks to their hospitality. If we ever go back in Porto Moniz, we’ll stay again here without any hesitation.

The rooms were great and the view from the balcony was amazing - we were very close to the sea. The staff were really friendly and amenable. The facilities in the hotel were also great. Try both restaurants, you won't be disappointed. We were also just a few minutes walk away from the natural pools (the hotel provides towels and entry tickets for free). We just loved our stay at Aqua Natura Madeira and would definitely recommend it to others.

We have chosen this accommodation for the second time. The suite is extra large, has two terraces with a fantastic view of Porto Moniz. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, there is a microwave oven as well as a dishwasher and a washing machine. There is a fireplace in the living room for cold evenings. The beds are comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by a bottle of Madeira wine and cookies prepared for us. Thank you :-)

Wonderful house, well designed and furnished with everything needed for a week-long stay. The location was perfect—close enough to Porto Moniz amenities but still very quiet and relaxing. We really appreciated the opportunity to explore a different side of the island, having previously stayed mostly in the south. The host was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again when back in Madeira.

The reception was very helpful and friendly! Thank you! The hotel room with side seaview and balcony was very clean and has a nice view of the sea and mountains. P.S. Porto Moniz is nice town, however it´s far away from many main sightseeing places. We stayed here for 4 nights and explored this area. The other 10 nights in our vacation we stayed in Funchal.

It was a romantic escape for us, kind like a second honey moon and we couldn't have chosen better. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. Big room with an amazing view we had a balcony with see and mountain view. The staff were very attentive, always with a smile and very helpful. Both swimming pools are nice, the one in the top has very nice view.

Terrific place, spacious, well equipped and maintained. Outdoor area was fantastic, nicely landscaped and lit at night. Tastefully decorated, absolutely lovely and close to all amenities. The sea is a few minutes walk and the grocery store almost next door. Clearly the best part of our two weeks in Madeira.

The location is excellent. 25 m distance to Porto Moniz Natural Pools and the ocean. We kept windows open in order to enjoy the ocean sounds during the night. There is pay-based parking close to the hotel. The staff was very friendly and made an effort to accommodate special dietary restrictions.
