It took over 2 hours to get the Radisson Blu from Airport due to idiotic elimination of the ability to travel by car in and around Amsterdam. Very picturesque and well manicured. Easy going, walkable, cultured. The food scene is multi culture. Sometimes hard to find authentic Dutch cuisine. Museums, buy your tickets to the Van gogh museum months ahead ,windmills tours, coffee shops, canals, bicycles, everything I expected and more. The city of Amsterdam is beautiful. I was very impressed by its network of different modes of transportation and how they all linked up together, making travel very easy. I found the people very pleasant and willing to help out-of-towners navigate the city. Safe in the room did not work. Identified it to the evening 5 ***** turn down person handing out sweets from a bag around 1900 hrs. Showed the safe to the person. Person told me to refer to reception. For a 5 star accommodation, very stingy about late check out.
