This time round I would probly rate the breakfast 3 out of 10 as the food was low, had to ask the workers to fill up things. The room was also messed up as I booked for 2 adults 3 children. I reception said that they don't have rooms for more then 5 people. Was advised because it was a health and safety thing. Also offered to do another room but I had to pay extra I refused. After talking to manager I was allowed to stay in the room that I originally booked for.

The room was very large, the beds were comfortable, and with the heat pump it was warm. Breakfast was great.

Wonderful stay. Clean bathroom and huge kitchen. Bring your food to cook and there’s complimentary condiments and cooking oils they don’t mind sharing with you. Free parking on premises and host was kind enough to allow us to leave the car a few hours after check out so we could do the Bay of Islands tour. Great location next to shops and Paihia wharf where the tours meet. You can rent a kayak all day for $15 too.

The hostel is right on the boardwalk, and the view from the kitchen is beautiful! The beds were very comfortable, the shower was really nice, and the common areas were cool! The kitchen was also huge.

    This was a lovely place to stay.

    This was a lovely place to stay. We were warmly welcomed by our hosts and everything we needed was provided. It was a real treat to stay here. We visited the Treaty Grounds, just down the road for a cultural and historical education. We hiked to waterfalls and mangrove forests. We caught the car ferry and visited Russell on the coast.
