What a cool place to stay! In addition to the great "family" room we stayed in, the hotel has all of these bonus room where you can hang out with your group - including a "library", a great room for playing cards, and one with a fireplace! The front desk folks went above and beyond - they were super helpful and fun to chat with.

Although an expensive country, the atmosphere at Reykjavik was wonderful and we had a great time. Highlight was a visit to the Blue Lagoon and whilst it wasnt as classy as the Sky Lagoon it had the Blue water which made it special and different to any other hot springs visit and we had a wonderful time there. Also visited Perlman museum which was interesting and very well done. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend Reykjavik for a visit

Great city. Always felt safe walking.

Great city. Always felt safe walking. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Very good base as tours we booked all picked us up at our hotel. Tours were all superb, small groups of 6-8. Wear layers as even in August weather can be sunny and warm to raining, chilly and windy. Would definitely go back.

Reykjavík is an interesting city with its own vibe.

Reykjavík is an interesting city with its own vibe. It offers a unique blend of natural beauty and metropolitan comforts. It has a lot of tourists. What most surprised me is the amount of rainbow flags all over the downtown. You can hardly see Iceland flag anywhere whereas rainbow flags are everywhere, literally. The road to main church, Hallgrímskirkja, is colored in rainbow. Overall, the city is worth visiting. As a note, Reykjavík looks different from the rest of Iceland. We travelled for 2 weeks and noticed the difference. One local host told us that there is a Reykjavík and the rest of Iceland.

We walked most of the city!

We walked most of the city! We drove in after two weeks exploring Iceland. We wished there was a car rental in the city that we normally use! However the airport is miles away and we rented a local dealer, good but the extra insurance shared me! All was good! Then we had to get back to the city. Took the bus whoever dropped us at a terminal in town! From there we explored north to the civic center where we enjoyed a virtual eruption of a volcano! Very exciting! Then walked the bay towards the cruise pier! Then back to our hotel in mid town! Good job!

There is so much to do in Reykjavik, from the cultural with museums and music in pubs to hiking to swimming to shopping. Reykjavik is the gateway to the rest of Iceland. Just avoid the typical tourist trap souvenir shops, make sure you get a real Icelandic sweater at the Icelandic Knitting Association, and accept that food and drink are simply never going to be a bargain.

We love visiting Reykjavik and have been there three times. The city is easy to walk around (we used a walking tour app on our first trip to familiarise ourselves). Loads of restaurants and cute cafe's offering everything you could possibly want. The people are super friendly and are always willing to help out if needed. The country is so beautiful- it's a must-see on your bucket list!

All staff we met - reception, breakfast, cleaners - all were super nice and helpful. We checked out before 4am to catch our flight which meant we couldn’t have breakfast and at the time of checking out we were pointed to the table where coffee and warm croissants were waiting for us - that was so kind. The hotel is environmentally friendly. Location - close to the city center and just next to the bus stop 12 - one of the pick up points for the tours and for the airport transfer. If we get back to Reykjavik, we will get back to this hotel.

This accommodation is a really good choice to travel and explore Iceland. A bit far from Reykjavik center, but with good parking places and completely next to the cheapest shopping place, Bonus. So you can buy some foods directly next to your apartment, cook something and start your whole day trips all around the island. The property was completely clean, comfortable, with super easy access with door codes. The kitchen is full equipped. Just recommended!

Without a doubt the best places to stay in downtown Reykjavik! You’re in walking distance to explore the city and are in the perfect location to be picked up for any excursions! We rented a car and there was plenty of parking for everyone. The rooms were comfortable and cosy. We absolutely loved the buffet breakfast and the staff were lovely always!

Convenient place to stay for a night before or after a flight. Still 40 minutes from the airport but cheaper than most airport hotels. Superior room was a decent size and a little worn in places but it suited us for a 1 night stopover. Room and bathroom was clean. Breakfast was okay. Pretty basic but that is common in most places in Iceland.
