I stayed here for a week and had a mixed experience. The staff was generally friendly and helpful (especially the guys, who were great), though a few of the girls at the desk seemed to carry some attitude. The room itself could have been much cleaner. I noticed sticky spots on the floor, found three old “Do Not Disturb” signs behind the bathroom door, and even some items left under the bed from previous guests. When I requested cleaning service, they took the used towels but never brought new ones back, especially the towel for make up remover. Breakfast was okay, but for the price point I would have expected better protein options. The parking situation was also inconvenient, only couple spots at the front, though I do understand it’s a busy, central location. Overall, while the hotel has potential and the staff kept things professional, the cleanliness and follow-through need more attention before I’d call it a solid find. Surprisingly all that was mentioned above was just an observation and didn’t really bother me to the core, hands the higher score.

Great location - easy access to subway to get to tourist attractions. Just a short 10mins ride to get to Manhattan. The room was clean, AC worked well and the bed was comfortable. No iron in the room but they provided it by request at the reception. Allowed us to store luggage before check-in and after check-out which was super important. Breakfast was great: eggs, bacon, bagels, fruits, pancakes - always fresh and tasty. Pretty much the same choice every day but ok for a couple of nights. Great that they provide coffee/tea/bagels the whole day

    The staff was disrespectful and lazy.

    The staff was disrespectful and lazy. They don’t want to do their job as far as house keeping is concerned, they don’t even want to give you towels. As for the building, it is known for prostitution, drugs and god knows what kind of other illegal activities goes on in that place. The staff plays along with all that goes on in there and they act as if they don’t know what’s going on. The rooms are filthy and the noise level at night is crazy. It’s one of the worst hotels to ever vacation on, it’s not worth it for all that money.

    This hotel is clean and comfortable bed and spacious room. It is quite new and I loved how easy it was to get to the JFK just 4 minutes walk. A short bus ride and you can get to Queens Boulevard for shopping at places like Burlington, Primark, JD shoe store and more, lots of places to eat. I will definitely stay here again whenever I need a place to stay near to the airport and shopping.

    My Visit is one step in my Relocation to the area for a new home. This hotel has served as a Very Good temporary home. Again, I wanted to single out Douglas and LaMar for going out of their way to anticipate and care for all my needs.

    Queens offer more than what meets the eye.

    Queens offer more than what meets the eye. You will find bodegas on every corner, convenient metro stations to get into the city, and cheap restaurants with great food, including food trucks open 24/7. A must-see is Gantry Park right by the river, offering beautiful views.

    The hotel is in a great location, beds clean, comfortable. Staff just wonderful. Breakfast nothing spectacular, but did offer things like fried rice, miso soup and kimchi which is unusual for many places.

    The only problem was that after the first 4 days, I noticed...

    The only problem was that after the first 4 days, I noticed that the AC was not adequately cooling the room. That was my last night in the place. I brought the matter with the staff so hopefully they have done something about it after I checked out. Otherwise the place was very comfortable, clean and convenient. Would recommend this place to anyone who is looking to stay for a few days in New York with family.

    I recently stayed at the Ravel Hotel with my husband. We got upgraded and we had an amazing and absolutely breath-taking view from our balcony ! Our room was really spacious and clean (and was kept clean even during our stay). Our bed was comfortable as well. The staff was very polite and helpful. The location is great too - it is situated next to Queensboro Bridge metro station so you can get easily and fast to Manhattan. This hotel is simply amazing! We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to NYC :-)

    Location was great. As a tourist from the UK it was far cheaper to stay in Queens than in Lower Manhattan and the Subway was close by which gave us access to anywhere we wanted to go. It felt very safe, even at night time. The staff were super friendly. The free coffee and tea in reception was a lovely touch. We found a fabulous American Diner for breakfast each day and ate in a wonderful Chinese restaurant just up the road from the Hotel at very reasonable prices.

    It was okay; the staff was always welcoming and warm. The hotel was just a short walk away from Queens Plaza Station and Queensboro Plaza, so you had a few options to get into Manhattan. There is a large dining room with a fridge, oven, tables, and sofas to eat at, which was a good thing for us.
