As a solo female traveler I was nervous based on other reviews and the very low price because I really care about cleanliness and safety when traveling. This was such a pleasant surprise! Everything was SO clean (especially considering the shared bathrooms) and I loved that there was always someone at the desk to unlock the door and assist in any way. As someone who is out and about during the day and literally just need a place to use the bathroom and sleep this was a perfect match for me!

Great location, absolutely gorgeous staff, safe surroundings, a big supermarket nearby, close to subway (express line to WTC 20 minutes). A nice building with high ceilings, really clean with a nice kitchen and common room. You can easily walk to two piers at Long Island City Gantry Plaza or Hunters Point South (a little bit further but still walkable even at night). Ferries is a must, the views of Manhattan are absolutely stunning (4$ with 120-minute transfer window)

The hostel is in a very accessible location, the subway is a short distance away and there are several lines N,W,7+E,F,R that lead to the center and downtown or uptown. Great location, nice and helpful staff, kitchenette, small room with a small shower, everything satisfactory.
