Very clean and comfortable. Hugh shower. Nice and helpful receptionist. It is not in the center of town but the train station is 5 minutes walk away, the ride to town center is 50 cent and takes 10 minutes so you don't have to get there with your car and pay for parking. Free parking on site and lots of dining options around

Probably one of the best hotel views I've ever experienced in Australia, facing Magnetic Island, the Ardo is a contemporary, luxurious hotel with beautiful facilities and friendly, helpful staff. The roof top pool is well equipped and stunning, with the added bonus of guest being able to also utilise the pool and facilities at the casino next door. We enjoyed an early breakfast in the room and appreciated the timeliness of its delivery. We would defintely stay here again. Also, as building and designers we have to comment on the exceptional quality of the build and the overall design of the rooms and facilities. Our compliments to your builder and architect

We travel there a couple times a year to stay for a few days and so numerous day trips as well. It’s a lovely place, very busy and touristy and can be difficult to find parking but don’t let that stop you! There is a great vibe and mix of people from all ages… We spend heaps of time at the main beach, sone at the multiple takeaway or sit down eateries. There is something for everyone! You can go by foot, local bike rentals when in the esplanade… there are Wednesday and Saturday markets weekly… I enjoy the atmosphere at Wahlburgers right on Cavill Street opposite the Maccas… but won’t decline a good takeaway coffee from Starbucks just down from it! Heaps of activities for a cost to do but worth doing if you are there for a Bucky list ‘tick’😊

We hired a car from Cairn airport to travel to Port Douglas for 5 days. We booked the snorkeling tour as well as the Daintree tour, both were well organised by the tour leaders. The restaurants were great but very crowded, luckily my daughter has booked everything in advance. Very good experience for our family, we might plan to go again in the near future.

Historic waterfront precint better than Adelaide or Hobart....a must visit 2. Cafe, Bakeries, etc were very good........especially Coffee Club on Quay Street, the Artizen Gluten Free Bakery, Malaysia House, and at the Rocky Brewery. 3. Explore town riding the local Bus services 4. The 1909 Steam Tram ride at the Archer ParkRail Museum....only steam Tram still running in the world 5. Worlds only proposed Olympic Rowing Course with crocerdiles in the whole wide world.......an incentive for crews to row faster then they ever have before.

We enjoyed the beautiful parks and gardens, the historic buildings in the city of Toowoomba, the Cobb & Co Museum. We also liked the short drive to Crows Nest National Park with its eucalypt forest and granite boulders. Breakfast at Cafe Valetta was excellent! Happy to recommend Toowoomba as a good holiday destination.

Mackay Harbour and foreshore are a must visit, beautifully landscapped with quality building, shops, and fish & chips. 2. Mackay Botanic Gardens are a must visit, and are superior to most gardens. Lovely paths and signposted plants, all overlooking a pretty lagoon. Cafe has splended views. 3. at $0.50c per trip, explore Mackay by riding the Bus network to get an overview of this boom town

Must do is the Pacific Whale Foundation Whale trip, totally awesome and they are non profit so all the money goes back into the research of the whales. I prefer the quieter side of Hervey Bay the side we stayed in Torquay was busy but vibrant. Loads of places to eat on the Esplanade. The pier is worth a walk along. Make sure you get to the beach at sunset as it is beautiful to watch.
