Perfect location for accessing the University, very clean and tidy and the check-in receptionists were always helpful and responsive. The room was small but had everything you need. A nice place to stop over after being out and about during the day.

Second time staying here. The first with children as located within walking distance to Bristol Zoo Project, and the second time for a girl's night and visiting Bristol Lido for relaxation and good food! The decor is stylish, a lovely vibe with bar area and outdoor seating and feels like more of a boutique hotel at a budget price! Mollie's diner is also lovely next door, but book ahead as they are busy! Will visit again, thank you!

FAQs about hotels in Bristol

From Brunel to Banksy!

Britain’s 4th most popular visitor destination, Bristol features Brunel’s magnificent Clifton Suspension Bridge spanning the Avon River. More Brunel handiwork is in the harbor, where his SS Great Britain steamship is moored. Pirate walks here detail the city’s underground naval history.

Further north in Clifton is the world’s oldest zoo outside a capital city. Other Bristol attractions include At-Bristol Museum and the Grade I registered historic Corn Exchange with its 4 "nails" outside where money changed hands. Also worth a visit is St. Nicholas Market, in a Georgian square home to several bars and a Slow Food Market on the 1st Sunday of every month. Other Bristol shopping options include shopping centers at Cabot Circus, and Cribbs Causeway on the outskirts.

As a student city, Bristol really comes to life after dark. The live music scene here is fantastic and has given way to several internationally known bands, but for something more alternative head to Eastside.

Another option for alternative-seekers is the work of hometown street artist Banksy. Just like Booking.com’s Bristol accommodations, his work is spread throughout this fabulous city.

This Gateway to the West Country is served by Bristol Airport and Temple Meads train station. The old Bristol to Bath rail line is now a cycle route and makes a great day trip.

Bristol is an awesome and vibrant town.

Bristol is an awesome and vibrant town. Quiet in the morning, it wakes up and lights up as the day passes. The harbour is a great place to reax and have something to eat or drink. Many possibilities to spend a nice night out. It is well connected through public transport, including connections to and from the airport.

Bristol is a lovely city to visit, lots of culture, architectural buildings, lovely old parts of the city and very compact. Public transport is excellent and the location I stayed was ideal for the coach station for my return to the airport and costs only 9 pounds single. Great places to eat, just seek out the small restaurants and the people are friendly, lots of activities, I done Stonehenge, abit expensive perhaps for students but great value overall. I will be returning as I enjoyed my trip so much and did not get to do everything on my list.

We came to look at what Bristol has to offer and for the Harbour Festival. The city is dirty and there are homeless people in the parks and on the streets. We witnessed people taking drugs on the street and in the park. There were very few places that you could go without inhaling second-hand marijuana. People were drunk by 1900. It is not a family friendly city in my opinion unless you drink and take drugs. The streets are filled with litter and it is not unlikely that you will encounter animal or human faeces at some point somewhere in the city. We witnessed a few people freely urinating in the street. The city feels hostile and unsafe.

Living by the Bristol Channel in Wales throughout my childhood, the centre of Bristol of was visited regularly. Travelling on the train through the Severn Tunnel and catching a CENTRE bus from Bristol Temple Meads. There are Theatres, Cinemas, the Main University of Bristol, The Cathedral, the Main Library and main historic attractions including the SS Great Britain. Several shopping Malls are being replaced.

Bristol is a great base and has great public transport links to Bath, Cardiff, Salisbury, London and much more. The city is vibrant and has great walking tours . Plenty of restaurants, bars, cafe's and theatre's. The waterway is beautiful at night. We ate in Mowgli, Cote and the Cozy rooms. There are plenty of electric bikes for hire but we chose to walk as the weather was beautiful.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel. We had a lovely spacious, clean room with a welcome gift, the cutest ascot teddy bear and a box of chocolates with a personalised handwritten note with well wishes for my son’s competition. That was extremely thoughtful. Thanks to Sylvie at the reception for her great customer service and to Hrishi for sorting out our car park. We will definitely return when visiting Bristol again.

Excellent stay at The Berkeley Square Hotel. The location is great for exploring Bristol (close to Clifton, the city centre, Cabot Tower, etc). We stayed in the Deluxe Suite which was newly renovated - it really is a great suite and I'd heavily recommend it. Clean, modern, and a really comfy bed too. Nice treats on arrival were a great bonus too!

Excellent location and surprisingly quiet for such a city centre hotel Staff were really friendly. We have a reactive dog so needed a quiet room away from the escalator. They did their best to accommodate us and were really helpful. The hotel bar was really relaxed; it was a lovely stay.
