Vibrant bustling city. Went for Vivid so very busy.
Vibrant bustling city. Went for Vivid so very busy. Recommend booking for dinner if you want to try a certain restaurant. Easy to get around the city by walking, tram, bus or ferry. Went to Manly for the day. Easy to get the ferry there and back and cute place. Aquarium was good but could get very busy so choose your time wisely.

Sydney is very easy to get around on public transport with their Opal Card. Starting by train from the airports. Always something happening and our latest visit was during the Vivid Lights Festival and the 2024 Sydney Art Biennale.

Sydney was is in fine shape, except for homeless people sleeping on city sidewalks. Anglo-Saxon governments might like to actually think about housing people as an exigency of life, rather than as an American-style spot market.

We travelled on the train to the city then caught the ferry to the Zoo. I must stress that using an opal card was a godsend - it is easy and so cheap to travel around. We then did a vivid cruise on Sydney harbour which I would highly recommend to anyone being in Sydney over the Vivid festival.

Light rail and the bus network are great.
Light rail and the bus network are great. Put 20 dollars on the opal card and travelled from Maroubra in the east to Manly in the west with plenty of stops. Great value for money.
We had a big walk in Hyde park, checked out the Anzac memorial, St Marys cathedral and Hyde park barracks took a bike ride in Centennial park, shopped in down town Sydney.
Just love the remnants of the almost 250 year history and the modern bustling city with spacious central parks.

I like the sceneries, old streets, gardens and beaches.
Public transports with convenient untouched payment is very easy for visitors, no need to buy transport card nor buying tickets.
Free public toilets are clean and very easy access.
Peoples rather cold, may be too polite :).
When you want to be in Sydney but not in the CBD this is great. Good transport links to city via light rail (tip get off at Randwick and walk down Belmore Rd). The hotel is a beautiful old terrace full of charm in a leafy street opposite park with all mod cons. Staff were lovely and, on a really hot day, we were delighted to receive an upgrade on arrival to a room with air-conditioning. Much appreciated after we got off at the wrong light rail stop (see above!!)
location is amazing. so easy to get to from Airport. train straight to Wynyard and stroll to hotel. Everything you need. short walk to Queen Victoria Building and Westfields. Vapianos Italian restaurant on ground floor of hotel was amazing. CBD hotel opposite corner. stroll to Darling Harbour. could not Fault. Room was perfect. Shower amazing. complimentary Non alcoholic drinks provided in Mini Bar. couldn’t want for more.
Our stay was exceptional. The hotel personnel were quite friendly, lending our mother their wheelchair. We made a last-minute reservation because our trip back home was canceled. Their accommodation and facilities were complete and spotless. They also offer airport transfer. We plan to stay again when we return to Sydney!
Quiet rooms. Rooms look nicer than the photos. They have a boutique hotel vibe rather than the standard decor you get at some hotels. Nice to be greeted by warm welcoming staff.
Lovely breakfast. The fruit was perfectly ripe and fresh. The scrambled eggs were particularly good. Location is great for mid town Sydney CBD.
The Hotel was close to Mascot McDonalds, KFC, and Krispy Creme Donuts. I did have to walk across a major road to get there though. In the morning I checked out the Penthouse and there was an excellent view of aircraft taking off from Sydney, Kingsford Smith Airport and the coffee was good. I got some great photos.
The location is a bit older, but rooms have been recently refurbished and are nice and clean. The pup below (which is part of the hotel) serves quite good food. Free parking, a petrol station on premise and a short drive to the airport make it a perfect alternative to any hotels on the airport strip.
Good location in Sydney with a number of eating and drinking places close by. The hotel is well setup but keep in mind that like a lot of other reasonably priced hotels in central Sydney it's a hostel style.. IE toilet, shower and kitchen are separate from the room, which was comfortable.
1. Breathtaking atmosphere from heritage style of building
2. Very good location for those tourist from inside or outside of Australia to explore sydney CBD
3. Bigger room compare to other hotels in Sydney(based on delux room)
4. Reasonable room fare
Reasonably priced compared to many airport hotels. Good location located half way between domestic and international airport. Also the shuttle to the airport was a good price, ran regularly and although not owned by the hotel provided a great service.
The staff are so super friendly, very kind and accommodating! They kept our baggage both before checking in and after checking out. If you like quaint looking hotels with convenience of being close to the CBD, I’d recommend staying!
It's your standard rooms-above-a-pub affair. We didn't know anything about the area but slim pickings for hotels on new years eve and we ended up here with no complaints. It was easy enough to get to the CBD or elsewhere.
Nice hotel in the CBD, no local building works meant that there was no external noise. Ideal if you are visiting a nearby office, short walk to the piers, opera house, botanical gardens, and other such attractions.
The location, is in the CBD, very close to the Harbour and to the Circular Quay train station. We visited Sydney in a very rainy weekend, so the big umbrellas provided by the hotel were very useful.
We liked the hotels special decor and style. The location was in a good spot with access to bus and tram to eg Darling Harbour. Their restaurant was also nice. We would love to come back.
Very convenient location for work (at UTS) and a great price compared to central/CBD Sydney hotels closer to the harbour. Room was very clean, comfortable and quiet (on 8th floor).
Proximity to airport was key for us. We got into Sydney late and this hotel was a 20 minute walk from domestic terminal. Room was clean and staff friendly.
Easy walk from the train station from CBD to the hotel. Then easy shuttle from hotel to airport the next day ($10 per person). Staff were very friendly.
