FAQs about hotels in Brussels

Chocolate Capital of Europe

Brussels is well-known as the headquarters of many European institutions and is often called the capital of Europe. However, Belgian waffles, beer and chocolate are just a few of the city’s best-known delicacies that can rival its political reputation.

French and Dutch are the city’s two official languages, so all streets and landmarks have two different names: don’t be surprised when you look for Grand Place and end up at Grote Markt!

Don’t miss the famous bronze, aptly named Manneken Pis statue or the futuristic Atomium, a truly unique architectural creation. Wandering through side streets to discover small bookshops, romantic cafés and ethnic restaurants reveals Brussels's charm.

Brussels is a real melting pot of Europe, filled with great museums and art from Memling, Bosch or Rubens, historic breweries and great concert halls. Shopping addicts can visit the world’s first shopping mall, the Saint Hubert Gallery, opened here in 1847.

If you’re arriving at Brussels Airport or South Charleroi Airport, all major attractions are just a short train or bus ride away. Whether you’re looking for a design hotel, a comfortable apartment or a friendly B&B, Booking.com has something perfect for your trip to Brussels.

The best thing in the center was definitely the Grand Place at night - the lighting was amazing. We also visited inside the Atomium - I didn't even know they had a light show inside, and I loved it. We used the STIB/MIVB App for the public transport and were satisfied, tried the local waffles and fries with cheddar sauce (delicious). Restaurants near touristy areas are really expensive, so if you want to save money, don't go there.

I would recommend 3-4 days. People are nice , food is basically fries and waffles but they are good. Scenery is beautiful , Antwerp was stunning. Wish we had time to go to Ghent so would come back for that.

I liked that I was not overwhelmed by other tourists.

I liked that I was not overwhelmed by other tourists. I had just come from Amsterdam and I was feeling a little shocked by the amount of tourist there. I had the feeling that Brussels was not visited as much and there was so much to experience and enjoy. My expectations were low before I went there and my experience far surpassed my expectations. The EU Parliament was an amazing experience that I am very grateful for going to see.

    It is a cool city.

It is a cool city. The food was amazing, the Flemish stew was my favorite dish. Lots of different beer to try. I liked Saint-Gilles, the south part of the city. It is a "chill" area. There was a lot of constructions in the city when I was there. So it wasn't convenient to walk around the city.

Compact city with plenty to see and do on a city break.

Compact city with plenty to see and do on a city break. The beer, chocolate and frites for which it's famous have to be sampled - though not to excess! The Grand Place is impressive of course, but venture further to the parks and the EU district, where there is plenty to see and do, much of it free. We 'discovered' The House of European History - nothing like as dry as it sounds - a hi-tech museum tracing the story of Europe from pre-history through many (many) wars to Brexit and beyond!

We booked a double room and choose the two twin bed option. Nice size room with a balcony that has two chairs and a little table. While booking the photos of the room were different but I was very happy to get the room we got. Location is very good, close to the Brussels train station. Also the city center. In the main lobby there is different kinds of coffee for free. From the train station you can get to the hotel using the underground tunnel which exits by the hotel.

The hotel is located very close to the city center. You can reach everywhere on foot or by metro. The room I stayed in was quite adequate and nice. Everything was very clean. There is everything you can use in the common kitchen. As a solo traveler I have never felt unsafe. Wifi was working great. If I go to brussels one more time, I will choose the same hotel again.

We had a very nice stay in Brussels. Edouard Boat offers privacy and a large space for a very good price in proximity to the city center. Recommended for adventurous characters searching for a novel experience rather than anonymous all-inclusive uniformity offered by highly equipped hotels.
