Rooms were a good size Close to main attractions in Vancouver. Close to restaurants and shopping.
Hotel is dated and needs updating in the halls. Pool needs to be heated.
The reception area was fine.
The rooms were very tired, especially the bathrooms with rust showing and dodgy sealant patching. The carpet also felt old as sticky. The corridor on floor 5 was also dark and dull and in need of refurbishment.
That the Granville island ferry was close
Very friendly staff. Great location 10 mins walk from Yale roundhouse station, next to Granville bridge/ sea wall walk. Couple blocks from 2 car rental offices. 5 mins from good restaurants ( cactus club excellent). Swimming pool on site great for cooling off as not heated! Very comfy beds.
Couldn't fault it.
bus stop right outside minimart etc close by
Getting in and out of the Underground parking wasn't pleasant. It looked like the service entrance, and it may have very well been. BUT it doesn't have look that way. The entrance to the hotel looked like a utility closet and there was large laundry baskets in the hallway beside the elevator.
The suite offered the perfect cost-effective accommodation for me along with my son and his wife. Gave us a chance to spend 48 hours in Vancouver prior to our Alaska cruise. Close to Granville Island and Yaletown. Everythings worked in our suite and was clean. Pool not open however.
Price for parking was a little steep.
Very old and tired hotel. Rooms need a refurb. Would not stay again.
Handy to walk along the sea wall. Facilities were great, helpful, friendly staff. restaurant good. Comfortable
Friendly, efficient, and helpful staff
Service and prices not very good in the restaurant
Price and location
The hotel was dark, dingy, dirty and needs a complete make-over. I felt like I was in the hotel from the "Shinning" and expected to see a kid on a big Wheel at any moment. The carpets and drapes were filthy, stained as well as the chair in the first room I was given. the second room wasn't much better. I got a shard of glass stuck in my foot. We came back from Breakfast while the cleaning staff was still at our room with only vacuuming left to do. Although we told her to take her time we would come back she insisted it would only be a minute. she was less than 30 seconds and only covered the walk way part of the carpet from the bathroom to the centre between the beds. My complaint got us a room facing the alley way near the parking garage exit. I attempted to relocate to another hotel however last minute transfers and put me at a disadvantage when it came to pricing. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
Very relaxing stay..great staff.
There was leaves in the pool.
There is no fridge inside the room Finding a spot parking was headache Smelly parking Hard to get some ice from ice machine Bad treatment from hotel front desk when you asked some ice
The staff was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, especially the front desk staff (Al Noor and the others at the desk) and Joel and Jesse in the lobby. They always took the time to answer my questions and provided directions to get me where I wanted to be. The housekeeping staff were also very friendly and accommodating. The location was excellent for Granville Island and English Bay, as well as for accessing the Aqua Bus. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed and pillows! It was nice to be able to view MeTv from KVOS to watch the 'oldies'. Ambience great in the room, bathroom a bit cramped, though.
The location is fantastic for Granville Island, but out of the way for activities in the centre of the city or for accessing the harbour. I walked everywhere anyway, so that was a benefit in terms of exercise. Hallways are very dated (i.e. rugs and décor) and I thought the room might be like that, too. However, the room had a very up-to-date ambience and was extremely comfortable (temperature control, bed, pillows).
Very friendly and helpful staff
We love walking and the area gave us access to many paths. Great walk to Stanley Park, great restaurants all around! Really enjoyed our stay!
Location was good, easy walk to shopping downtown and hop on hop off bus stop right at the front door.
The Wifi was terrible, constantly dropped out. The curtains were ripped in the room and so let light into the room early in the morning. We were in a family suite and the dining table was very small and only had 2 chairs. The lifts were very slow.
WiFi was decent which is a rariety.
First time we stayed there we got a decent rate, 1 week later the rate had shot up 150 dollars.
Nice location, friendly and prompt staff. Clean room.
Proximity to the busy street/bridge: NOISY The room like someone had been smoking in it.
The location of the hotel was awesome and the bed was clean and comfortable. View was fabulous
That the walls in some areas of room were dirty and the carpet was terribly old and edges looked quite dirty. I would definitely go back if the carpets were replaced and hallways re-done. lobby was nice and otherwise a very fine hotel.
Great location! Walking distance to many local attractions.
Thought that having To pay for parking was ridiculous. Should be included in the price of the room. Also found the food prices for breakfast to be high for what they were offering.
The location is very good. We can do everythintg on foot in dowtown. The hotel is clean. The room size is good. It is near Granville Island and south Granville st. The bus connections are superb.
If you need internet in your room, FORGET it! We complain many times until give up. No way to connect if you were not in the lobby.
Close to downtown , GranvillevIsland, Stanley Park, etc
Small bathrooms, uneven bed
