If you're a football fan, be sure to visit the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Even if you're not a Real Madrid fan, I’m sure you’ll appreciate the club’s history. I recommend touring the Royal Palace with a guide but keep in mind that it gets very crowded. Among the famous three art museums, I mostly recommend the Reina Sofia. We focused more on sightseeing in Madrid and, to be honest, didn’t have any particularly special or outstanding meals.

Transport system in the city was excellent, cost of living very reasonable and lots to see and do. The restaurants in the La Latina barrio were excellent as far as price and variety were concerned. The ‘Big Bus’ bus trip was excellent and the Guide, Jocelyn, was so informative and friendly.

Madrid, Spain’s vibrant capital, is a city that blends rich history with contemporary energy. Known for its stunning architecture, world-class art, lively plazas, and delicious tapas culture, Madrid offers something for every traveler.
The Golden Triangle of Art – the Prado, Reina Sofía, and Thyssen-Bornemisza museums – houses masterpieces by artists like Goya, Velázquez, and Picasso, including the iconic Guernica. El Retiro Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a tranquil escape with its elegant gardens and crystal palace. Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol are iconic hubs of Spanish life, with vibrant markets, cafes, and street performances.
Royal Palace, one of Europe’s grandest, showcases ornate rooms and centuries-old tapestries, while Gran Vía is Madrid’s bustling avenue, lined with shops, theaters, and restaurants. The city’s neighborhoods each bring their own flavor – from the bohemian charm of Malasaña to the upscale boutiques of Salamanca and the multicultural buzz of Lavapiés.
Madrid's cuisine is another highlight: enjoy traditional dishes like cocido madrileño, or sample tapas in La Latina neighborhood. With a welcoming spirit, rich culture, and endless sights, Madrid leaves an unforgettable impression. Don't forget to pay a visit to the oldest restaurant in the World...Casa Botin. It was definitely my highlight!

If you stay in Centro Madrid you can easily walk to all the beautiful places. And the lively streets are full of picturesque surprises. Take the time to visit the Prado and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museums. Glorious. Spend time in Parque Retiro, too: don’t miss it.

The hotel was really nice. We booked there because we had an early flight. The location was perfect, because it was a 20 min walk to the airport. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. It's probably the best bed I slept in in Madrid. It's a bit outside of the city center, but the area has some nice restaurants and a cozy plaza. It was a nice, quiet neighborhood. There is a metrostation near by. I would recommend this hotel!
ARTIEM Madrid was perfect for our weekend break. the hotel was modern, clean and it catered to all our needs. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the free drinks and lunch fridge was a great bonus. Our room was spacious, well-kept and comfortable.
The hotel is situated half way between the airport and the city centre, but easily accessible by bus and metro. It was incredible value for money. We would stay here again if we were to return to Madrid.
Really loved the short stay in Madrid in this hotel. The breakfast was really great, even with churros and other tasty and fresh food! The room was very clean, with beautiful interior and painting on the wall. The hotel is located in the city centre, easy to find, close to metro and bus stations, so it is very convenient.
The hotel is in a good location, it is quite fancy, has an amazing roof top bar and a small pool which is quite rare in city centre Madrid. It is very clean and staff are very efficient. They also give water in rooms, and room has a fridge
