Busy, bustling & vibrant city with a mix of cutltures and heritage.
Amazing architechture, history, parks and eateries.
BIKE TOUR - Would highly recommend TIM bike tours - a great way to orientate with the city and learn facts not always found in the guide books. Suitable for most and great value for money.
TAPAS - wonderful tapas can be found at La Taberna de Ramales. Choose cold tapas from inside, order hot from the waiting staff. Would highly recommend the cod, asparagus with bacon and patatas bravas.
BUS TOUR - we had a family member with mobility issues so did the bus tour. Get the 48 hour option for just 5€ more. Can hop on/off all day, so whilst most places are walkable, it helps break things up.
SHOPPING - from desinger shops to Primark, Madrid has it all if shopping is your thing. And there are plenty of El Corte Ingles to browse too.
TRANSPORT - Easy to get from the airport - we got a taxi direct for 33€ though the metro, bus are cheaper - they take between 40-55 minutes.
ACCOMMODATION -We stayed at Plaza Maylor apartments which we spotless and only 2 minutes from Plaza Mayor.
FOOD MARKET - a must visit for any foodies. Great range of quality foodstuffs designed to eat on the go or back at base. Checkout the empanada (like mini pasties) stall.

The city is beautiful and interesting.
The city is beautiful and interesting. There was difficult to get a good coffee. The lines for the museums were too long. But the people are nice, and the food is good. You can walk and do not need transportation to see all that meters. And the Flamenco show was fabulous.

The food and taxi are more expensive than those in other cities. I had the worst food here, but paid more. Some plazas in the city center really look old and not pretty. Also, dog poops can be seen in streets and allies. Disgusting! I stayed in a high-grade residential area, but one day, I saw dog poop right in the middle of the crosswalk (the beginning part). This reminded me of the way I felt about Spain and its people thirty years ago. Madrid hasn't changed too much. People enjoyed old habits!

Very nice city to visit, clean and the metro and buses are very easy to use and to understand. I bought the 10 tickets and used it perfectly. The metro was very extensive, as well as the buses, didn't have a problem at all! I downloaded the app and it was easy to see the time schedule and how to ter around the city with the buses and metro. The centre of the city is very beautiful and you can easily walk from one end to another. A very walkable city with beautiful parks to enjoy a picnic. A very beautiful city!

Rightfully belongs to the most beautiful cities, it is very clean, modern but preserving well historical buildings and monuments. Service has very high level and is tourist friendly. Sometimes the streets and main squares could be crowded, especially if there are festivals or football matches so it is good to avoid it if you don't like to be squeezed.
This hotel is wonderful. We loved it so much that we decided to spend our last night in Spain there after traveling through Seville, the Algarve, and Portugal. The staff were all very professional and helpful. The room and bathroom were large and comfortable. The shower is amazing with easy to control temperature and excellent water pressure. Loved overlooking the square, and breakfast was delicious. The location is excellent for walking and was safe. Housekeeping was 5 stars - very clean, well stocked room. Highly recommend.
located less than ten minutes away from the airport, easy access with metro stop and a short walk. friendly staff at check in, provided information needed of local area and how to get to Madrid center.
Bed was very comfortable, including the best pillows.
Restaurants, cafes and shops within walking distance.
Taxi for our return trip next morning to the airport was €7,50 (beware that if taking a taxi from the airport to the hotel, there’s a flat rate of €20, Ubers we’re unreliable as they kept canceling our trip - 3 times)
I liked the hotel very much. It is located close to metro station and you can walk to nearby attractions and city centre. I had a medium size room and it was spotless clean with card access. The bed was super comfortable and clean. The bathroom and shower size were very good. The wifi service was also very good as well as air conditioning system. I rated the hotel compared to similar accommodations and if you reserve well in advance it’s a value for money. I will comeback if next time in Madrid.
Very accommodating to specific needs and really appreciated free bakery goods on the weekend. Effective communication utilizing What’s App. Staff was helpful with bags and transportation to airport also communicating with taxi driver to ensure information for destination was correct. Nice complimentary tote bag to carry for any souvenirs or items for walking in the city. Maybe think about adding Madrid, Spain on the tote bag, making it more specific to the visit.
Exactly what we needed. It is an apartment style hotel, everything you need to feel at home, with an extra help. Close to everything, walking distance from Palacio Real, Plaza España, Gran Vía, etc… During my trip to Spain, I stayed here in two different occasion, my first and las week of the trip and the staff helped me all the step of the way. Ana & Luis will make you feel like family. Also a plus, they have parking available at premises.
Room was cool, unlike many air-conditioned places we stayed in Spain. Comfortable beds and warm, powerful shower. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. Orange juice tasted freshly squeezed. Early check-in for $15 was nice. The free shuttle to airport was helpful. Because near airport, was a ways from center of city, however plenty of restaurants and a grocery store nearby. Would stay here again prior to a flight.
really cozy small hotel in the city centre. the staff are very helpful, it’s very clean and the bed was big and comfortable. windows face the inner courtyard so it’s not very noisy from the street (at least our room), but the walls are thin, however that’s normal. has everything you need, nothing fancy but a good value for money for Madrid city centre. all the attractions are walking distance.
This property is very well located. It is conveniently placed for Madrid Airport…..and the Metro station ….Alfonso VIII…..is only a 2 minute walk from this hotel….making it easy to access the city centre. The reception staff were also very professional and friendly. Our room was very clean and bright and had everything we needed for an overnight stay.
We love staying in this neighborhood and were lucky to find the Vincci. Clean, well run, and friendly, it's close to so much of central Madrid and a stone's throw from great food and bars. The front desk staff were terrific. We've stayed in Vincci Hotels elsewhere in Spain and will definitely be back to this one in Madrid.
My husband and I came to Spain for our honeymoon and we wanted to stop in Madrid for a few days for the game, as well as, experience the culture/ sightseeing. We were not disappointed whatsoever. Madrid is beautiful and our stay at this hotel was exceptional.
Cheap price in city center, the hotel has best location in madrid, Gran via. Everything is close the hotel. Hotel has a kitchen and the kitchen has microwave, dishwasher, some plates and hot water for coffee or tea. My room very hot and comfortable.
Friendly staff and good location near Gran Via in Madrid's city centre.
The room has a little balcony and the hotel is not in the crowded and noisy areas, though still close enough to get to every corner in the centre with 20min walk tops.
Nice clean hotel. Only stayed for a night due to layover in Madrid. Taxi is about €15-€20 to the airport and it’s about 45 mins from the city centre by public transport. All in all a fine hotel for a good price.
The location was fabulous, near Plaza Mayor. We spent our last night in Spain here and the hotel arranged for us to eat the exceptional breakfast early so we could leave for the airport.
Beautiful, modern hotel in the city centre, close to the main sights of Madrid. Extremely nice and helpful staff. If we return to Madrid, we will definitely choose this hotel again.
The variety of food provided in the continental buffet.
The location of the hotel is excellent in Madrid city centre.
The room was spotless and the Wi-Fi was excellent.
