Our room was very spacious, confortable, and cozy. The hotel itself is a piece of history for the touristic community of Salisbury. It's restaurant offered delicious dishes of great value and flavor.
Located in the center of the city, this elegant, Georgian hotel with pillared entrance boasts modern rooms and private parking. Guests can find a restaurant, a lounge and a courtyard on site.

The overall presentation of the hotel was great and the room was very quiet. The location was perfect. We felt safe and the staff were helpful. They were able to store out luggage while we went out and about after check-out.

Breakfast was served downstairs and was prompt. Able to choose whether we wanted to purchase breakfast there or go elsewhere but convenient to eat in. Also, affordable price for breakfast and coffee.
Convenient for ordering something to eat in the evening to take to our room.
Location of the building is good and the building is unique although there was scaffolding up outside.
Bar staff were helpful and friendly.

Go to city visitor center, very helpful. Pretty town, every place walkable. Visit Stonehenge in afternoon, lot less people. Old Sarum was hard to get to and not marked well from bus stop. Magna Carta might not be worth the fee to many.

A small town with lots of pretty old buildings, beside the river. There are some famous sites including the cathedral which I enjoyed visiting. Unfortunately a few things are closed Tuesday and/or Wednesday, so check webistes when planning your trip. It's also 20 minutes from Stonehenge.

Parts of the city are rather grim, other parts are wonderfully historic and worth seeing; the Saturday market is excellent. We didnt go into the Cathedral as we considered the ticket price excessive but we ate very good food in Baroushka in Fisherton Road and the daytime cafe opposite. There is an amazing fishmonger in Fish Row and a good baker adjacent. Walking through the city was difficult as there seem to be endless road/pavement works and hordes of tourists heading for their lessons in history. We came by train as parking would appear to be scarce but there is a good Park and Ride. We were blessed with the cottage, it made up for our disappointment with Salisbury itself.

Love this area, brings memories of childhood as I was born in an area called Salisbury. It has a lovely market to buy goods from, stores, and lots of food options where a Mediterranean breakfast can be experienced. Not to mention Stonehenge... info attainable for Magna Carta resides in this area.
Rooms experienced at places stayed great for short term but I like big open spaces with rooms, nothing against the hosts! Many options offer included breakfasts elsewhere.

I’ve always loved Salisbury as it’s a great place to visit, when you want to see our heritage as-well as modern shops and restaurants/pubs.
On our visit we had dinner in the Chapter house, 10/10 definitely recommend the steak!
Don’t forget the fudge shop near the Gatehouse haha!

Apart from the cathedral, I cannot say I was impressed with the city. It is quiet, and not much going on. It was quiet at the weekend during the evening, and we struggled to find suitable things to do that were interesting to teenagers. I would not wish to live here. The high point was the cathedral which is remarkable.
Everything, the location is an easy walk into the town centre and Salisbury Cathedral. The Hotel is clean and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly, professional, and helpful. The room was very large, and the bed was perfect. It was very comfortable and helped us get over jet lag. The area is extremely quiet, and we could control the temperature of the room. Bathroom was large and had a spacious tub and shower combination. The English Breakfast is a must have to start your day.
The hotel is in a great location to visit the cathedral and city centre shops and restaurants. Nice room, warm and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff.. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice and hot food cooked to order. It was Saturday night and they had a band playing in the evening but the music stopped promptly at 11pm.. I was travelling on my own and felt comfortable in the bar, which has a good range of drinks on offer. I would definitely stay here again.
We have got all the time free parking spaces for our car. We have not tried the breakfast, but I really enjoyed the bar. Every guest gets a welcome drink for free. Next time we would also try the breakfast.
For sightseeing or shopping this hotel is well located not far from the centre of Salisbury.
The bathroom has also a bath not only a shower, and a heating for the towels.
And everytime there was a nice and lovely person at the reception desk.
The location was just perfect for our visit in particular to the Salisbury Cathedral. And while I did know or expect what views from my window were to be. That really didn't matter at as you step out the front door, your greeted by the most splendid view of the Cathedral and the surrounding grounds.
The room was comfortable, the facilities perfect for our needs. The breakfasts at the Sarum are great to, with more than enough to choose from.
Lovely place in a pleasant little town outside of Salisbury. The staff were very friendly and made me feel at home. Nice sunny courtyard outside the bar to have a pint or two. The room was very nice with a window that looked down on a quiet pedestrian lane. I parked right outside the front door of the hotel, although I could have left the car across the street in the town car park without a problem.
My room was spacious and clean and had everything I needed, including free Wifi, plenty of sockets, tea/coffee making facilities, TV.
Bed was comfy.
Quiet at night.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was nice.
It took me about 30/40mins to walk into town. However, there is a bust stop about 4/5 mins walk from the hotel.
Free parking was good.
No issues
Friendly staff, lovely location, and we had a comfortable nights sleep. Lots of character. Its also a pub and I think they serve evening meals as well. * Ask for a room at the front overlooking the river, as this is what makes the Old Mill special. We had a good breakfast and found the location a pleasant walk to the center. There's a car park for the hotel.
The room was spacious and comfortable with all expected facilities. The additional mini-kitchen was a nice extra bonus.
We were also very grateful that our hosts accommodated our request for an early breakfast too.
The hotel is in a beautiful location within close proximity to the city centre, with a beautiful walk to get you there.
Great position by a river with a wonderful view of the cathedral - though it’s probably obscured by the trees in summer. Easy walk into town. Plenty of free parking, friendly staff and good breakfast. The room was in the newer part of the hotel and was spacious, clean and comfortable but somewhat dated.
Exactly what we needed, 4 friends - with 2 x twin rooms, before the start of our hiking trail. Comfortable, clean and brilliantly located. It is an old hotel, with a great city centre, riverside location, but suited our needs perfectly as we could easily walk to it from Salisbury station.
The Catherine Street apartment is very recently renovated to very high standards. It was both comfortable and elegant. The location was very central and just a couple minutes walk to all the Salisbury sights. We were warmly welcomed on arrival. We're very glad we stayed here.
Staff are very friendly and professional. Food was nice, especially the breakfast, and the restaurant area is nice. The hotel is a short walk from Salisbury city centre. Everything was very clean and the room was air conditioned and nice and quiet.
The location was fabulous right by the river with a beautiful 15 min walk to the city centre. The breakfast was very tasty with various options.. the hotel is a gem and full of character with wonderful views and scenery.
beautiful comfortable spacious rooms x4 with character
Breakfast was excellent
we had dinner one night in the hotel - was excellent
Location - excellent (parents in their 80's not able to walk too far)
The location was excellent for what I wanted. The hotel was quiet but close to the city centre. The view at the back of the property was delightful, and the room clean and functional.
