I didn't leave the hotel for 2.5 days as it was so pleasant and I had prior commitments to fulfil, via computer. There is WiFi at Five Bells but it was a bit erratic in my room. Lovely property, well positioned for NationalTrust properties. Well decorated gardens and hanging baskets. Several outdoor areas to eat and drink. Good parking. Bedrooms away from road. Breakfast, lunch and dinner available in public restaurant. Quality of our room was excellent. Small but practical. Lovely old inn.
Lovely old inn. No offer or help with luggage, lights not working in room, bedside light fell off wall. We had 2 rooms, my daughters room had a window that wouldn't open more than an inch (in 30 degree temp), I had 2 skylights that were just open and could not be adjusted, no blinds. Food was not good, ran out of breakfast cereal ( a shop 50 yards away), tables in the garden not cleared, we watched a waitress come out with meals 8 times and not once took dirty dishes away! I liked the fact that it was easy to find and to park.
I liked the fact that it was easy to find and to park. It was a typical village pub and the locals filled it with a lot of laughter. The tables were spread apart from each other and it was good that we didnt have people breathing down our neck. The food? OMG - amazing. Rooms - basic but comfortable. Lovely hot shower in a large cubicle. Very clean. Would I stay again? Hell yep! Anyone going for the son or daughters graduation from RAF Halton? Definately! Its 5 mins from the base.
