Great location. Everywhere in town was walkable, one block from city center and Stonehenge bus stop. Great helpful staff. Good internet. Free welcome drink.

Our room was very spacious, confortable, and cozy. The hotel itself is a piece of history for the touristic community of Salisbury. It's restaurant offered delicious dishes of great value and flavor.
Located in the center of the city, this elegant, Georgian hotel with pillared entrance boasts modern rooms and private parking. Guests can find a restaurant, a lounge and a courtyard on site.

Location was perfect. Breakfast was excellent though the breakfast room may not have been easily accessible for people with mobility issues. The rooms were basic and the toilet and shower were also basic but they had everything that I needed. There were no hair dryers or irons but I did not need any. There was a kettle and tea/coffee in the room. The place was clean. It was good value for money.

Breakfast was served downstairs and was prompt. Able to choose whether we wanted to purchase breakfast there or go elsewhere but convenient to eat in. Also, affordable price for breakfast and coffee.
Convenient for ordering something to eat in the evening to take to our room.
Location of the building is good and the building is unique although there was scaffolding up outside.
Bar staff were helpful and friendly.

Beautiful city. Amazing old streets and buildings.
Beautiful city. Amazing old streets and buildings. Small enough to explore on foot. Plenty of places to enjoy food and drink. The Cathedral is stunning. Plenty of independent shops. Nice green open spaces. Lovely for a couple of days.

Go to city visitor center, very helpful.
Go to city visitor center, very helpful. Pretty town, every place walkable. Visit Stonehenge in afternoon, lot less people. Old Sarum was hard to get to and not marked well from bus stop. Magna Carta might not be worth the fee to many.

A small town with lots of pretty old buildings, beside the river. There are some famous sites including the cathedral which I enjoyed visiting. Unfortunately a few things are closed Tuesday and/or Wednesday, so check webistes when planning your trip. It's also 20 minutes from Stonehenge.

Parts of the city are rather grim, other parts are wonderfully historic and worth seeing; the Saturday market is excellent. We didnt go into the Cathedral as we considered the ticket price excessive but we ate very good food in Baroushka in Fisherton Road and the daytime cafe opposite. There is an amazing fishmonger in Fish Row and a good baker adjacent. Walking through the city was difficult as there seem to be endless road/pavement works and hordes of tourists heading for their lessons in history. We came by train as parking would appear to be scarce but there is a good Park and Ride. We were blessed with the cottage, it made up for our disappointment with Salisbury itself.

Love this area, brings memories of childhood as I was born in an area called Salisbury. It has a lovely market to buy goods from, stores, and lots of food options where a Mediterranean breakfast can be experienced. Not to mention Stonehenge... info attainable for Magna Carta resides in this area.
Rooms experienced at places stayed great for short term but I like big open spaces with rooms, nothing against the hosts! Many options offer included breakfasts elsewhere.

I’ve always loved Salisbury as it’s a great place to visit, when you want to see our heritage as-well as modern shops and restaurants/pubs.
On our visit we had dinner in the Chapter house, 10/10 definitely recommend the steak!
Don’t forget the fudge shop near the Gatehouse haha!
The management/owner of the property excelled in anticipating and meeting my needs--called and had a taxi waiting well before normal hours and provided an exceptional brown-bag breakfast (complete with bottled orange juice) for me to take. The location is a very short walk to the Salisbury Cathedral and equally convenient to the cute town center. In addition, the hotel restaurant provides a really nice dinner menu and delicious meals.
Perfect location close to city centre. Breakfast not included in the tariff & we weren't willing to pay a considerable amount extra for breakfast in hotel restaurant. Our room was spacious & ensuite had both shower & bath. The bed was extremely comfortable, & the room quiet. There was a heat pump in room but as the weather was very warm we were able to use the heat pump on reverse cycle to cool the room. A tastefully furnished room.
We were extremely pleased with the two bedroom apartment we stayed in. We wish we could have stayed there our whole vacation! It was perfect for the three of us and secluded from other guests. The property is only minutes away from Salisbury and the staff were very accommodating. We will choose Cricket Field House over all the other places we have stayed!
Location is very close to the city centre in Salisbury making it very easy to explore that wonderful city. Nearby are some exceptional restaurants and the breakfast in the hotel was one of the best continental breakfast boards I have seen. No lift in the hotel but the staff carried our luggage up to the room and were very helpful.
The hotel had a cooked English which was very good. The room was fine and the location was very close to the center of the city. The hotel was a unique facility with parts dating back to the 1400s and very historic. This is really the best place to stay in Salisbury and truly experience the history of the city and area.
Check-in was efficient. Location is exceptional and the redeeming feature of the hotel. Staff we saw were all pleasant but more on staff later. Room was spacious with lovely view and public areas tidy. Food quality, especially sausage and bacon, at breakfast - more on that below.
We've been staying in this hotel for years as we have a stamp fair twice a year in Salisbury. Obviously since the take over the bedrooms have drastically improved and much more modern now. The parking feels more spacious and the view has always been amazing.
The Lodge is amazing. Clean and everything you need. Location was great as close to Salisbury and Southampton and a short walk to the New Forest. The site has a Pizzeria and a mobile Fish & Chip van, for when you don't want to cook.
the room was spacious and very clean. the food in the restaurant was very tasty. the staff are very friendly and helpful. There was no hairdryer in our room, but we were given one upon request. We would book the hotel again
The hotel is in a good central location, it was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly. The spa was clean and quiet and was small but had a steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. The hot stone massage was very good.
The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was good. Close proximity of the old Mill Hotel was ideal for eating in the evenings. A nice quiet location within easy reach, via a pleasant walk, of the city centre.
Very nice, cozy and clean hotel that has been operating since XVII century in the centre of Wilton. Walking distance to Wilton House and short driving distance to the city centre of Salisbury and to Stonehenge.
The house is spacious and the rate is affordable. The walk through the Harnham water meadow into Salisbury is beautifully bucolic. Our host was very friendly and accommodating.
Room attractive and all amenities provided. Good breakfast. Free parking at hotel. Large and beautiful garden area. About 25 mins walk to city centre so a good location
