I am wheelchair user/disabled, so it was interesting experience. I tried to plan beforehand. We happened to have nice weather whilst visiting, which is a bonus. I reserved the tramper from Lakeside, which meant we could go for a nice relaxed walk with family I met up with. We enjoyed production of A School for Scandal at the theatre. The staff were very helpful. We visited some museums, hopefully will visit again. Getting around pedestrian/ town centre areas mostly ok; some areas not have dipped kerb to access pavement, some a bit bumpy. The car parking for blue badge holders need to be clearer; signage stating how long you have would be helpful AT the blue badge bays rather than just in tiny writing on a board some distance away!( I got caught out in one car park and had to pay penalty!!!). overall we had an enjoyable stay and hope to visit again.

A nice little town that catered for all ages especially liked the puzzle museum, one downside was the price of the toilets which at 50p is expensive. The meals at Brasserie 31 while expensive was very good as was the meal we had at the Golden Lion

Absolutely beautiful area. Close proximity to parks, as well as National Trust parks, gardens, shops, planned walks, activities for all abilities, amazing countryside and of course the Lakes. Very dog friendly. We fell in love with it, and didn't want to return home. We will definitely be going again.

There are wonderful hikes of all different lengths -- one hour to 8 hours -- and you get extraordinary views from all of them. And there always seems to be a nearby pub at the end of the hike! Truly great hiking and friendly people. We had a great dinner at the Fellpack restaurant too.

Very nice town many interesting shops pubs and cafes with a very good museum stop the weekly market small bit interesting. It was a very short walk down to the waterfront which has a good compliment of boats etc. The variety of pubs was excellent and it was much appreciated that the town had a wetherspoon. As a transport hub it was easy for myself which did not have a car to visit many areas. It is also close to both high heels for walking and for much lower level walks what's up this would suit all tastes.
Incredibly well run by the host and her son, both of whom were extremely helpful (and big thanks to her son for coming to let us check in when we arrived outside of check in time). They also let us leave bags for the day when we checked out which allowed us to explore for the day.
AMAZING breakfast - “award winning” and plated beautifully. Even did dishes such as haddock kedgeree which we didn’t see anywhere else.
Really nice comfortable rooms. Great location right next to keswick town centre and 10 min walk from the lake.
Everything was superb. Jo is a great host and I couldn`t fault anything. Breakfast was really delicious. Jo was very welcoming and gave great customer service as we went on the Derwentwater boat trips and Jo kindly rang ahead to see if they were running. Room was really nice. Location only 10 min walk from the town centre and easily found an on street parking space just outside the guesthouse. Definitely recommend this guesthouse to others and will definitely stay again when next visiting Keswick.
Although the room was not en-suite, it might as well have been. The Shower and toilet was next door and exclusively for use of that room. Shower was lovely and hot and bathroom had a huge towel rail that was great for drying off wet clothing. Breakfast was fantastic and location was a 20 minute walk to Keswick town centre, although if raining not ideal. The was a pub within 200 yards of hotel.
Brilliant, central location for exploring Keswick — an easy, 5-minute stroll into town — and parking available on the street. All main essentials (bedding, towels, toilet roll, soap, crockery and cutlery etc) provided and the house itself was cosy and peaceful — after a long day spent walking the hills, it was lovely to come back to a warm, toasty house to relax.
Lovely place to stay. Excellent hosts, Lorna and Simon, who made us very welcome and gave us some good tips on walking. Fantastic breakfasts and lots of little extras in the room which was much appreciated. Large bedroom and very comfy bed.
Good location, short walk along a disused railway track right into the centre of Keswick.
Would definitely visit again.
Room was good size, comfortable, large bathroom with great hot shower. Breakfast was lovely nothing too much trouble. Great! Stayed here previously rooms never disappoint! We had dinner in the hotel both nights and could not fault the food! Always friendly love Braithwaite. Ample parking near our room. Every room is also dog friendly.
The room was excellent, very comfy bed and a powerful shower! The hosts accommodated us when we were delayed on our arrival which was really appreciated and they cooked us a fabulous breakfast each day! Located a 5 min walk from Keswick town centre and there was parking available at the property. Would certainly recommend :)
Lovely B&B in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the centre of Keswick. We were made to feel welcome straight away and were given lots of good recommendations about the local area. Very accommodating at breakfast and the room was cleaned throughout the day. We would definitely stay at Glendale again.
The apartment was fantastic and had everything you need. So lovely and immaculate. It is in the middle of Keswick town centre too and we will definitely stay again if we can but it appears to be pretty fully booked up for the next few months. Not surprised . A wonderful stay .. highly recommended…
Great B&B in an excellent position close to Keswick town centre . Comfortable well appointed room, very warm and cosy on cold november nights. Plentiful full English breakfast and very friendly and helpful hosts. Would definitely recommend.
Clean room, quiet room, comfortable bed. Views of the lake fantastic, Good choice of breakfast menu. Car park a bonus for a small charge. close to town centre. Friendly staff.
Lovely hotel. Great welcome especially as i was potentially delayed then wasn't. Comfortable room, good location and view just out of town centre. Very nice breakfast
Staff were brilliant, couldn't do enough for you. Room was lovely and cosy, yet spacious. The location was brilliant for Keswick town centre and Derwent Water.
The location of the hotel is fantastic, close to a lake, a short walk from Keswick town centre and with fantastic outdoor space and a great pub or two locally.
