We stayed with Sylvia in her lovely hotel for a week. The bedrooms are very clean and spacious. We also enjoyed some time relaxing around the pool which was a great break from our busy schedule. There's a lovely walk from the hotel into Cortona which we did almost daily. Breakfast included is a bonus and we also ate dinner at the hotel and enjoyed a great meal.

I ate at La Grotta and Tonnini, both excellent. I love the museums and the lovely long park with a stunning view. One of my favorite hill towns. It is steep in places, but worth the effort. Great shopping also. I have stayed many times and still love it.

I think Cortona lacks out door eating and calling cafes ....mind you I did visit in January but other cities have outdoor heaters so that visitors or even locals can enjoy sitting out on clear sunny but cold days. Not much option if any if you are wanting to eat between 3 and 8pm ... but finding most places in Italy in the small historical towns are the same. So make sure you either have a late breakfast or stop in time to get some lunch in! :)))

It is a very beautiful medieval city close at the border of Tuscany and Umbria. It is definitely not an easy walk city as there are not so many flat streets. But it is worth it!
From Piazza Garibaldi, you could have a very nice view to Tuscany.
You find few parking lots around the city but from there you need to walk few stairs to actually get in to the city.
The italian ice cream, of course, is unbeatable. I can also recommend Cortona Bistrot. I think I have eaten there one of the best tiramisu.
The city is worth for couple of days' visit but the surroundings are also very nice (e.g. Lake Trasimeno).

The food, the view, the feel of history, I loved Cortona.
The food, the view, the feel of history, I loved Cortona. Cortona is very small, I came in once during a three day stay. Considering that it was 50 euro to drive in to town I would have only came back in for another dinner if I was with a group. Be ready to walk uphill! I walked all the way to the top and then made my way down to eat. Sadly I can’t remember the name of the restaurant I went to but it was tiny with a family feel and the food was incredible
The host was very friendly and helpful from the first day we booked the accommodation. The apartment was right at the middle of cortana Square, it was perfect. I stayed at the apartment with my husband and 2 kids, and the space was spacious compared to staying in a hotel. The room was clean and comfy , and the best part was the host had these little post it notes with recommendations for places to eat and stuff, which for me find it super helpful . 😀 We plan to comeback to Cortana again and will definitely come back to stay here.
Such excellent communication from host. Met with warm welcome at front door with pm check in much appreciated
Was so grateful to have room with lovely view over the inner church area directly opposite the san Francesco church and bell tower.
Basic room as expected. Super clean. Comfortable. Huge puffy duvet on bed. I guess they know the room is likely to be cold. What is it about Italy and the draconian government regulations about turning heating off April 1.
Very good price great location.
Would highly recommend
The hotel suite we upgraded to was beautiful and had a lovely balcony with gorgeous views (and 2 bathrooms). It was so central and had the added benefit of valet parking for an add'l charge of just 20 Euro. The staff were incredible. They were so gracious upon our arrival and also assisted with our luggage. Breakfast was also a pleasure in their breakfast room with table service. Have been to Cortona many times but never stayed here before. Will definitely come back and highly recommend it!
This hotel/experience could not have been better. The attention to detail was unmatched. Beautiful/large room with spectacular views. It was everything we had hoped for and more. We were able to take advantage of the Michelin star restaurant, the amazing breakfast, the hotel's wine tour and the spa. Everything was literally steps from our room. Was very easy to schedule things in Cortona as the reception would set up transportation and make reservations for us.
Immaculate retreat located in beautiful Tuscan country side with easy access by car to Camucia and Cortona. Flavia and Roberto could not have been more kind and hospitable. Beautiful olive oil, wine and ancient grain pasta producers. Great catering for stay when requested. All amenities provided and superb, quiet pool area with maintained gardens and shade from mature trees. The best of many stays in Tuscan agriturismos to date, immersed in luxury and nature.
The host was lovely and welcoming. Amazing location on the main flat street. Easy acces to shops, the square and restaurants. washing machine available. If driving you can pull up near the entry of the street, close to the apartment to unload bags, paid parking near by with free parking spots along the road if you can get one. Try the gelato at Gelato Ti Amo, best we had in Italy. Highly recommend the accommodation. We would gladly book there again.
The building was renovated with great perfection.
It’s only a short drive to the historic village Cortona.
Having Dinner at Villa di Piazzano is a unique experience which should not be missed. The chef not only prepares a great dinner, also breakfast is great.
Staff is super friendly and everybody can speak english.
The barista prepares perfect cappuccino.
The Resort is an Villa that has been converted to a hotel. It was very well kept inside as well as outside. They have a restaurant on site that serves breakfast daily as well as being open for lunch and dinner. There is plenty of free parking available and it is in a good location to visit Cortona.
Lovely large apartment in an historic villa with beautiful gardens and stunning pool. It’s walking distance to a mini mart and about 40 minutes walk uphill to Cortona. Also an easy drive to Arezzo, Montepulciano and lake Trasimeno. Augusto was a very attentive and knowledgeable host.
Beautiful property near Cortona! The most wonderful and warm hosts, Alessandra and her son Gianmarco, made us feel some welcome. They had the best tips for places to visit and restaurants to go to. Our apartment was lovely and had everything we needed. We had a wonderful stay!
Isolina and the rest of the family were so nice and helpful thank you!!!
The suite was very very big for a couple. Everything was clean and comfortable.
The breakfast was excellent in terms of food and atmosphere (best Tiramisu during our trip in Italy).
This is an adorable apartment right in the historic center of Cortona.
The apartment is decorated very nicely, and had everything one would need. It was very quiet. The host, Serena, was very attentive and even provided treats and snacks for our stay.
Everything! Clean, well equipped, incredible views, beautifully furnished, the largest and softest bath towels ever, crisp white bed sheets. This place is like a 5 star hotel.
Location is just fine for either visiting Cortona or the rest of the Tuscany area. Hosts were great. The appartment has all that you need during the short or long stay.
We absolutely loved the location and the property was so beautiful. The staff was amazing. We had never been to Cortona before and we’re really happy with the hotel.
A comfortable, well equipped apartment in the heart of Cortona. Close to major attractions, restaurants and shopping. Very good communication with the owner.
Rochelle was so welcoming and the breakfast were generous.
We had dinner one night and it was the best meal we have had in Italy. Great spot and very quiet.
