The staff was amazing and they even had an American woman who did tours of Rome for a good price. The rooms were really nice. 2 blocks away from the Vatican and two blocks away from the metro. Amazing place loved it! The showers were too small. |

Location is very convenient to Vatican City, especially the Museums. Nice breakfast. Helpful staff. A minor inconvenience...the guest rooms are across the street in a separate building from the office. |

The staff were very helpful, courteous, knows several languages. The breakfast was generous and had variety of items. Very close to the Vatican just across the entrance gate. close to the Metro station. The bed sheets and towels are changed daily and very neat. The bathroom too small the shower is in an enclosed box that you can hardly move in it. I think most European hotels are very stingy when it comes to bathroom or shower place. |

The hospitality shown the moment we arrived. I would really like to commend the two asian gentlemen i believe one was called Junior, not sure who the other one is, but they were very helpful in answering our queries as well as recommending us places to go and how to plan our trip. Location wise, excellent, very near to the Vatican. Not to mention very safe and secure with all the additional keys & locks |

On my recent 5 days trip to Rome, i wanted a value for money hotel on a good location, with access to public transport. Les Chambres d'Or turned out to be a very good choice. It was just a five minute walk from the Vatican and from a metro station (Ottaviano) so we could easily reach by the metro all the main attractions of Rome. We stayed in a triple-bed room which was very comfortable and clean. |

The location is very nice, on a street with many trees and very close to Vatican. The stuff is very friendly. When we left, the company that we used for transportation, recomended by hotel, charge us with more money than we expected and than we discussed. |

The rooms were very nice, clean and had air con. The staff were exceptional and couldn't do enough for you. 4 mins walk from the Vatican - what more could you want? The street was really quiet so no interference from traffic and yet you are in the hub of things in a few minutes. We booked a night tour of Rome which was excellent and our guide was brilliant. The only problem was if you were going to be staying for longer than a few days in that there is no lounge/bar area. You can of course get drinks food etc., and you sit outside on the footpath which is great but if you were staying longer you might prefer a lounge area. |

The room was very clean, though a little cramped. The staff was extremely friendly and knowleadgeable and ver willing to offer help. The hotel is walking distance from the Vatican. The breakfast was pretty good with unlimited coffee and cappuccinos. The thing that put me off the most about the hotel was the diving service they offered. They sent me an email before asking if we wanted someone to drive us to the hotel ffrom the airport for 45 euros. I wasn't sure so I said yes because we were arriving late at night. |

It was close to the Vatican, about 5 minutes away. There was a lot of restaurants, cafes, stores all around the hotel and also the taxis were right around the corner from us which was great!! The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was you had to have 3 keys just to get into your room. It's not a hotel by US standards, were you just have your key to your room & you go in & out. This hotel is shared by others who are not part of the hotel. |

Very friendly and helpful service. Spacious quiet room. Excellent internet access. Should make it clear that hotel has no lounge and that reception is in another building than room. |

It's a good area, near Vatican City and only 3 metro station to Piazza di Spagna. However you should know that it's not quite a hotel but a hall with rooms in an apartment building. The price is fair comparting to Rome standards. The reception and the breakfast room are in a different building but this is not annoying because the people employees are kind and helpful. The ac sockets without covers. |

The staff and owner were very attentive. The layout of the property was quite strange, but this made a central point of the admin/bar/cafe area, which was outdoor, so people tended to come back for drinks in the evening and it was quite sociable. The bathroom and particularly the shower were ridiculously small and had no shelving, so you had to keep the door open to get to soap and shampoo etc.. I had written to Sam asking for a view, which he said I could have, but it would not have been possible from the property we were in. |

The hotel was located in a nice spot, close to Vatican City. However, if you are going to drive, reconsider, because it is very difficult to unload (family, bags, etc.) where the loby is located. One way street and no parking, you must stop in the middle of the street. Then the staff has to take your car to be parked. There was a line of cars behind me and they were not happy! |
